Fox News says this video is for "Iron Sky" viral marketing..

I hope I'm doing this right. FoxNews has an article online suggesting that this video is viral marketing for the sci-fi movie "Iron Sky". Is this the begining of an ARG?

If this is covered somewhere else, sorry. I searched but couldn't find anything on it. Admits I'm not the best searcher either. LOL

Watching the Friday one. The sign that says, "This is the Life" appears to be an ad for a Jamie King album reference HERE

I'm also catching the sound of hydraulics of rocket motors. Could be what was used to proper the "UFO"

More to come.

It didn't seem very real, like it was definitely a set up for 'something' ARG-ish or definitely a setup for some sort of advertising blitz...

I don't know where FoxNews got its "suggestion", but it doesn't feel right to me. If they mean this movie, I'd say their site has its own method for generating word of mouth. That fake-looking home video just doesn't fit the style of the movie trailer (imo).

thank you. Here is their denial tweet yesterday:

Contrary to rumors we didn't do the London UFO video

and on their blog http://blog.starwreck.com/2011/06/29/rumor-control-ufo-fleet-over-london/

A lot of websites and newspapers have picked up on this video of UFOs above the Radio 1 building in London on 24th of June. There has been a lot of speculation about the authenticity of the video and several news sources, including Space.com, have suggested it is viral marketing for Iron Sky. It's not.

Scroll further down in that blog entry for even more emphatic statements of how fake it is. The comments section links to another video explaining the effects as a hoax.

As one source put it: "UFO video proves existence of YouTube"

(also, FoxNews apparently gets its headlines from rumors at Space.com)
