Finally found some Cobalt with Iceflies today. Went to enter my first code, thought hey I'm glad it's nice and readable, and.... no dice?!! It says the code isn't recognized by the system.

I know someone had figured out that some letters/numbers were not what they looked like, but I can't find the post.

Anyone else had this problem?

If it's been used already, wouldn't it say so instead of saying it's unrecognizeable?

I have the same problem as you. Bought a 10 pack from costco and they were amazingly distorted and all that.

if anyone could help me out. It's not what you think it is since I wrote that in multiple times. Please don't take the code.

I have two more that need to be entered.

Rather than a 2, it looks more like a misprinted 7.
Try Y1M7L1P6A4?
Such bad print -.-;

Try a 9 instead of 4?

This is definitely a time to contact the company and request a code that you paid for.
Call them directly, you'll have a better chance at it- keep your receipt, barcode, etc handy.

If you trust me, I'd like to see the other codes as well so I can see if its random letter distortion, or if they just can't handle certain letters and each time that letter goes to be printed, it's distorted in much the same way each time?
I've done graphics since the late 90s, there's no excuse for this to have gotten past quality control.

Meanwhile, I'm messing around with it in photoshop and seeing all the letters that could be in that one spot. At least we know it's alpha+numeric+alpha+numeric order, otherwise we'd all be SO screwed.

edit:
Tried the following, no success:
Y1M2L1P6A4
Y1M2L1Y6A4
Y1M3L1P6A4
Y1M3L1Y6A4
Y1M2L1F6A4
Y1M2L1Y6A4
Y1M2L1P6A4
Y1M2L1F6A4
Y1M3L1Y6A4
Y1M3L1P6A4
Y1M3L7Y6A4

Yeah... I don't even think the printer itself knew what the hell was going on.

Hahha oh my god what is that, a mixture of Arabic and Cyrillic?

Punx, I've tried so many permutations.. It's almost as if they are actually printing invalid codes.
That's the only option at this point, I mean look:

I've tried 8 combinations per each suspect letter (even doubting the Y is a Y, that the 1 is actually a 1, etc), substituting a different letter each time, then going on to the next possible broken letter, subbing other letters at least 8 times, on and on.
Really, they need to fix this or at least reimburse people with working codes.

yeah. I did all the possible combinations that you guys told me to do already. I spent more so much time yesterday. Imagine that and then you have 8 packs with the same codes printed like that.

Emailed support already and will call tomorrow. Thanks guys. I think whoever has codes like mine should just quit and call since it's really hard. For example... one code had a 5. it looked like a 5. ended up being a 6 after an hr of trying...

Can you get me an image of that code with the 'six' that looked exactly like a five?
I'd love to see how the print gets messed up.. Maybe I could do a simple modification on the letters we're having trouble with if I can see how a 5 can actually equal a 6.

I finally got my code sorted, my "5" was actually a "6". *headdesk*

Some of the prints on mine were almost over the black part, but not nearly as bad as the ones pictured here. Definitely worth a complaint.

Yeah. The way that they are doing this a lot of us are buying extra codes because the ones we have now don't work... I wonder if they will give me a brand new 10 pack tomorrow haha.
