dont get fustrated!!! The game is afoot. You cant do anything with them right now. Unlock the constellations, add more keys, then (as I found out with the FL campaign)-

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
wait. then wait some more, then wait a little longer.

followed by a furious flurry of info. And given that there is a countdown in progress that doesnt expire for another week and a half, I doubt we will be able to do anything with the keys until at least the countdown is up.

As I have learned, with an arg like this its Patience.

And if you dont want to buy anymore gum, dont. Ask your friends who chew gum to look out for those special packs and buy those instead and give you the package.

  1. Log into survivalcode.
  2. click on the badge, it will take you to testsubjectsneeded.
  3. click on the LOGIN link in the upper-right corner of that site.
  4. Take the test.

I feel like I've tried that, but then again, I feel like I tried several things so... here goes.

Usually the first fault in any system, the human. Smile
That's what makes tech support so difficult.

So are you enjoying it all now you've gotten it up and going?

Oh, edit: Don't forget if you haven't gotten the icefly for those 3 keys, here's a direct URL

http://survivalcode.com/login.aspx?icefly=found

Apart from the 9 constellation keys, has anyone confirmed the maximum facility keys number? Somewhere I read that some peep had got 9? I wanna make sure I get enough codes to max out my chances by the deadline.

Chances of what, you ask? Who knows!

I think 42E is trying to appeal to some strange sort of casual-ARGer with this one. All the puzzles have been way too simple (synonyms after the URL? seriously?).

Got my package from the HPP today. LED assembly was misassembled, though, so I can't see what color mine is without ruining the loot. DX

Well, it's probably going to be a lot of people's first ARG because they advertised it everywhere. It seems like an attempt to make ARGs more mainstream and open to everyone without needing the help of sites such as Unfiction (which they might not even know exists) to figure out puzzles.

I wasn't aware the LEDs have different colors; thought they just came in blue.

And Fellhawke's word is as solid as Wikipedia's! Razz

Also, every ARG is someone's first ARG... it's just the bigger they are, chances are the more new faces there are. There have been far greater ARGs from 42 than this, for much larger existing demographics. #justsaying Wink This one just doesn't have nearly the pre-existing size of target audience that others have had, so the advertising has had to be more out there...

Since I have no idea where to post this and I'm new to this whole thing, I figured I would post an idea of mine here (Please redirect me to the proper place, n00b that I am.)

So each pack of gum has a website/QR code on it (survivalcode.com/xxx) which is a redirection page for survivalcode.com. So the question is, why the redirection pages? I took a look at the source of each one, and there's a line in each one that's different.

For example in survivalcode.com/investigate the line reads:

<input>

I figured it may be a cipher of some sort, but I have no idea how many of these pages there are. This is just what I've found.

Investigate
/wEPDwULLTE2MTY2ODcyMjlkZAJhqbZYPX/PKgTjHVDMyR3w0tyK

Unlock
/wEPDwULLTE2MTY2ODcyMjlkZCBG2ZVKfyFTDAOVb2RMlM1RdxVj

Explore
/wEPDwULLTE2MTY2ODcyMjlkZFLJDKaseWwqa39jNtK8daD4YmiW

Selected
/wEPDwULLTE2MTY2ODcyMjlkZJIaXHjeD6I5CxPye1m/xQv4teKv

Another thing I noticed was that each of them starts with /wEPDwULLTE2MTY2ODcyMjlkZ so that might be a part of it.

In general web marketing terms, the landing pages are a way to track how someone found your content, and the redirection takes them to a uniform place after that. The strings you've found are probably just their internal tracking mechanism, not for the game but for the "return on investment" numbers they need to report back to the sponsors.

Also, think of why we would have a 'high' level cypher at this stage of the game when we've just had clicking around for fancy art, and 10-char alphanumerics from gum boxes while the countdown timer is still going?
