And now for something completely different: while some of us are hoping that this is beginning with gum but then going somewhere else, I wonder if we should reverse that thinking. I've (finally) watched some of the 5 gum stuff on youtube, like "what it's like to chew 5 gum" and I wonder if that place where it's all happening, is in fact Traelek Institute. Or surely it's the place where the Terry O'Quinn character is examining the icefly in its canister. So maybe it started there and is now being unpacked here?

Mhm, upon seeing the facility I think that's what many have come to think. I think it fits very well, for example. Maybe 42e is just awesome enough to come up with with a story for gum? ;D

I've speculated about this elsewhere, but I'm pretty sure that there's some sort of storyline about scientists messing around with things (iceflies?) to develop ESP (extrasensory perception!) and/or some sort of "sixth sense" in humans. I kind of expect that they unleashed something much bigger than they intended - something that threatens the safety of humanity - and that's why the "human preservation project" exists.

Of course, I have no idea what the icefly itself is. Whether it's mechanical, biological, created by humans/some other sentient beings, etc...

It's most likely a sign that next to come is a package or a site update.

Taymyr is an obvious anagram of martyr. Just pointing that out, though I dont know if that is signifigant, as it doesn't lead to another site, lol

I'm cross-posting this comment from a guest in another thread as it belongs here instead:

I'm just a guest and have been reading everyone's posts all day.
...if you look into the page's source code you find this : Discovery can't be painted in broad strokes – it's the fine details that linger in the aftermath.

Nice hunting.

you don't need to view source to see that text, just scroll down the page.

Only if the 'y' became an 'r' like a bill becomes a law in our current government (doesn't happen).
