I don't know if this is of any use... but I was bored... and a couple minutes with the cadillac of image editing software that is MS paint... and heres a rough idea of what this pamphlet would look like... it seems to be of interest to quite a few people.[/img]

If you compare creases on the front page and the second twofold you'd realize that this is not the way the pamphlet would look like. Creases are exactly the same and in order to match them the front picture would have to be on the back side of the left part of the twofold and be upside down.

So let's call it 4 pages here... what if page 1 and 4 were together and inverted on the back of pages 2 and 3 my printer got blowed up a couple weeks ago.. so anyone wanna try it? i'll put up the pictures if that'll help anyone.... in case they wanna print one set on one side and the other set on the other.... inverted.

If we expect this extent of sophistication from the creators, the folding may be another thing that points at the incompetence of Buford's: they can't even print their brochure without one of the pages being upside down... Smile

That's exactly what crossed mind. Have you also noticed that there are pictures of two different buses on the front page an the twofold? Also, the driver on the twofold is shown behind a different wheel then the driver on the last page. One more thing, if you look at the speedometer on the last page you'll see that the bus is going at something like 140-160 MPH. How's that for safety?!

On the RFCS0 page the sensory pentagon is 12122. This could mean something in the future. On the ascent page first picture the Ice Fly container is broken. A possible cause of a disaster?

maybe it's the lack of sleep... maybe it's the lack of spatial awareness... maybe i'm just dumb... i can't for the life of me figure out the layout of this brochure for those creases to line up, and without a printer to check it out myself... i need some help. this might be close... it might be way way way off... any thoughts?

As far as I can tell, they only match up if the second page is upside down AND mirrored (printed backwards). The short crease in the bottom right of the top pic you posted is the short crease in the upper left of the second one..... and that only matches if you mirror one and then flip it.

Or if it's printed single-sided and the second page is upside-down behind the first.

Can anyone read the whole of /gifted? It is very unclear and as this campaign uses a very rich, curious and sophisticated vocabulary, I, being Hungarian, cannot read it very well.

What I figure is the following:

Quote:
Reason for visit: Patient complains of headaches and nervous agitation, bordering on a state of unspecified paranoia.
Symptoms: Increased blood pressure and heart rate, erratic ????s, over-sensitivity to loud noises and bright lights, sleeplessness.
Disgnosis Most likely a case of generalized anxiety disorder, not motivated by any real existential threat. Psych ??? points to abandonment issues stemming from childhood trauma, ???.
Additional notes: Follow-up ???: 3 months from now (as necessary, depending on patient's needs)

Clinician Signature: oh come on...

Actually I thought there will be much more ???s in this quote before writing it. Anyway, please fill the gaps and then somebody or I can include a quote on the wiki.

I made the changes in your quote below. Hope this helps!

Has anyone taken a look at the image names. They seem very random compared to the the image names from previous pages. Lots of numbers and letters.

Yeah that's also the case with filenames of achievements and the log file pages. It's probably because they don't want us to theorize on them. Or they are secret codes.

As far as Aftermath goes, has anyone suggested as of yet that the incident on page 24 of the log file is indeed what led to the crater? I realize that it was merely a vehicle, and couldn't have caused much of a crater, but the one in Aftermath appears to of explosive origin. Not to mention, the article tells of burning debris, which is the last thing we see on that page.

I just thought this sort of coincidence should be mentioned in case anyone else hasn't thought to.

In any case, that's just a theory. As for as the actual photograph in aftermath goes, it's an image of the crater left behind from the first atomic bomb testing in Alamogordo, New Mexico. See below link for image.

http://iconicphotos.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/atomicblast.jpg?w=635&h=474

I actually googled "explosive crater" to further investigate my original theory and found it under images.

It has already crossed my mind too.

It could also be interesting if we could find other original pictures that were used for the in-game documents. Most of the http://traelekinstitute.com subpages are likely to include some.

I know I'm new, so maybe I missed it, but has anyone noticed the small, odd markings around some of the letters? At first I cleaned my screen a few times, but still there. not the folds that were being discussed, almost like improperly placed accent symbols?
