went on google and. . .
so i went on google and typed in "sometimes we must give up riches for salvation" sure enough almost every site was from a religious point. maybe the ring symbolizes how money controls thoughts and ideas. thats maybe why it covers the words, like its covering an idea. just a guess but it seems like it could go in the right direction. keep me posted Smile

 		There has to be something to the sketches series and the brochure.

Also note each one as to do with a paper item, the paper is supposed to be the important part for Decoy I think.


We have a newspaper, a brochure, drawing paper/sketch paper, and really really old paper.

chalkboards
just went and watched the video again. anyone understand the chalkboards with all the pentagons while the lecture is going on its not hard to miss but go by somewhat quickly. take a screen shot i guess but it has to have significance. there are different letters and numbers inside a few. hope this aids the cause

 		I have kind of a silly question -- do you have to hit any buttons after recording your message for the voicemail to be recorded? I started rambling after the beep and then hung up. Embarassed Is there something I need to hit at the end for it to actually send, should I call back?

Any thoughts or progress on the article on http://traelekinstitute.com/blameless?

I tried searching for everything related to the date and place but couldn't find anything.

When you call the Traelek #, it says the company has been around for 25 years, which means that the company started in 1986. I wonder if that has any relation at all with this news about the fire 10 years later?

And who is "blameless"? The boy in the article?

Went to the site, and it turns out the homepage it's just one giant picture, is there a certain spot you should click on or something after calling? Or maybe you have to click on the certain websites (/blamess; /Decoy etc.) in a certain order..? just some speculations...

 		Eh, I know everyone keeps thinking the call/voicemail/message is important but I think it was only meant to lead us to the rest of the site. When Flynn Lives had Arcade Aid you could leave a message to Zack but nothing happened with it. The only time phones played an integral part was the very last game where you had to figure out a code.

Just my opinion, I could be completely off base.

 		I agree that leaving voicemails could be irrelevant, but who knows!
I tried it to, and here were my answers, although I probably sounded like a goon.

Decoy - for what?
Ascent - to where?
Blameless - unlikely
Misguided - by whom?

Also, I didn't enter anything after, I just hung up.

 		I'm confused. Are we supposed to leave our real name AND username, then do the word association game? Or can we skip the first part? I'm gonna try this out.

Also, are area codes required?

 		also, if it does have to do with the phones and the voice message, why not leave a message using one of the key words (or synomym) in the question you ask, or maybe, seeing as how all of these sites are connected, on fourth comic page of the prelude log you recieve, it has a few numbers in one of the panels, with the 1 being bolded, maybe that's a possible extension/voicemessage?

We actually don't even know if we should be leaving messages, but a lot of us are anyway. Since we don't have much to go on, people are trying all sorts of things. I just left a message saying I was looking for more information and would appreciate a call back, but feel free to try anything- we simply don't know at this point!
