So my current thought process that is in a bit of a rut...

Code:
"p a p  e r  "
(exact spacing) yeilded from "blameless"
Code:
"
            t o k e n
        "
(exact spacing) Yeilded from "decoy"

So far (if you don't coun't the returns and 8 spaces after the second return) you get this:

Code:
"P a p  e r  t o k e n"
is all on that one line. The thing that is odd about this is there are two spaces in between "pap" and "er" and then two spaces in between paper. What is more is there is a more is that paper takes up 12 spaces with the reserve spaces, and not counting the carriage return at the front of token, it uses exactly 12 spaces, hence why I put them in that spacing. Maybe or maybe not relevant, after the return after the word token, it takes up 8 spaces. I don't think that is relevant yet.

I've been playing with the pictures (mostly adjusting levels) on ascent and misguided, but with nothing so far. They have to have something to do with this. I just can't figure out WHAT.

Also, we have already been primered for a missing letter puzzle with the "OPERATION REBOOT -> City List" phase of the Mission Icefly countdown.

EDIT: Also noticed that the shelves are on a grid. Wondering if that has relevance. Also fixed some incorrect info.

I think Endain's suggestion of a "paper token" is correct. It seems logical that the combined information we've been given leads to a password (or extension number).

Still catching up on multiple threads from last night, so I haven't had a really good study of all this to see if that idea leads anywhere. Throwing it out first Wink

Anyone notice whether or not Terry O'Quinn was wearing a ring? Wonder if he's a rich man who started the Traelek Institute. (Save the icefly, save the world? Wait, wrong show...)

Though I also wondered if he's an alien/from the future or something odd due to that "your kind" wording in the video (referring to the classroom of people), the possibility that he made the icefly tube levitate, and the mention from the source code of "constellation keys".

*EDIT* FWIW, there's a restaurant called Le Rubillon. It seems to be a family name, though, and I can't track down a meaning. The closest word in French is "rubis", which is either literally a ruby or more generally a jewel. In Spanish there is also "rubion", which is a reddish tinged color (usually applied to wheat). But, obviously, from the same root word, and the same basic root as the English word "ruby".

Quote:

Origin of RUBY
Middle English, from Anglo-French rubi, rubin, from Medieval Latin rubinus, from Latin rubeus reddish; akin to Latin ruber red — more at red
First Known Use: 14th century

There seems to be a connotation of the color "red" for this fictional suburb Rubillon Heights.

Don't matter much to me if you throw it out because I'm completely convinced that the spacing is deliberate. Knife fight? =p I think there is a reason for paper token being the clue here, but I'm equally sure that there is a reason those two fit together so well with their given spacing and that the spacing in paper is weird for a reason.

I've left it alone for now and have been playing with the channels on the sketches and have found that where their colors mostly spike are in areas that make some darker than others. Really wish I had more experience with image clues right now, but I feel like these sketches are supposed to combine somehow. (Less sure of that than the spacing clue). I'll post in a second to show what I mean.

As much as I'm always up for a knife fight, I have zero issue with you pursuing the spacing. Think it's totally legit as well. All avenues of inquiry are worthwhile avenues Wink Well, nearly, as long as we're not having the whole "H word" vs gum discussion any more.

I noticed as well that there may be some odd things in the images. Parts of the linework on the upper and lower section of the "frozen" icefly tube bother me. Not sure if anyone's run them through one of those nifty hidden info programs yet, I'll run them through if not.

Interesting addendum with Rubillon. It's also apparently a place in Spain. Yeah I don't know much about the stego programs so I havent tried that. Playing with levels in and of itself seems like a dead end. but playing with the levels to make the arrows group around where the colors spike on the sketches and the 3rd page of the brochure does make it appear more burnt, or the atom picture itself, red.

http://aesculapius.imgur.com/missionicefly/ - is the album. the ring is just a cool effect I got editing the levels AND inverting the colors. I may invert the colors on others and see if it does anything, but probably not.

Seems like it doesn't mean anything yet, but there's gotta be something in these two pages.

I am not sure about the HSP website. It says its the Korea institute, but why would they use the name of a real country?

KST
KST is real I think.

Hey, just some evidence to KST being a game site- If it was a real site, why would it be in english if it's Korean? And also, under the news blurb, theres no news No real website would have that.

http://www.kibs.re.kr/ It's in korean too. Also if you do a search for heightened sensory perception there are a good few real life results.

Also the words paper and token were hidden on blameless and decoy respectively.

That's killin' 2 birds with one stone.

That doesn't really answer my question....

Er, you asked what we're supposed to do with the phone number? Quite honestly we don't know yet, or even if we have to do anything further with the calls. We just know it gave us four extra pages, and that may be all it was meant to do- in which case the answer to "what's protocol for this" may indeed be nothing!

TL;DR- Do whatever you think makes the most sense, we haven't come up with a winning combination yet. :3

Could the input code/extension/whatever be the license plate number on the car? I wasn't able to catch it or even see if it was legible, but that was my first thought.

Alternatively, I have Battlestar Galactica on the brain, and part of me thinks the dots on the blackboard in the Institute in the video might be some sort of code--either musically like notes on a scale or otherwise.

Something that jumps out at me is the brochure on http://traelekinstitute.com/misguided/

The back page with the "Working to turn the tide" in much bigger letters and spaced out that way is odd. Looks like a haiku that way.

I just wanted to know if you needed to put in your area code when you called them, but so far, no one has given me an answer.
