So far it looks like GuestUser17 will be the groundman for Atlanta, and I will be available until 4:00 that day to help with web support, as well as relaying information to the forum.

There is a decent chance that I can be on the ground in Atlanta tomorrow. Are there plans to meet up?

I hadn't seen any interest from anyone else going to the Atlanta drop so hadn't thought of meeting up. I'm going to be teaching until just before 3:00pm off 18th Street so will be fairly close to the middle of the city and will head to the drop as soon as we know where it is. My GPS is ready and I have two WiFi hotspots so that I can post whatever is found or ask for assistance if needed. I've not tried uStream as the NY folks are planning but I'll try and at least record or photograph whatever I can.

Okay my time zone is an hour behind Atlanta, so hopefully we can get everything figured out. How about anything that is found gets posted here so anyone could work on it?
EDIT: Also, everyone check your spam mail, there was a TSN email sent out. Also here's the mobile site for the iphones/androids

Any twitter accounts in here?

I have no personal twitter account, but I can follow it with my droid. I greatly appreciate the help, you have no idea.

okey doke. It's a great way to get updates out there.
Going to officially set the hash tag for this group as #iceflyatl
in case folks do the twitter thing.
EDIT: nevermind, didn't see the hash tags list thread. It so happens I picked the same...

ok, I should be on the ground in Atlanta unless something unexpected blows up at work. Since it is just the two of us and we both have potential work issues, lets just plan on heading to the site. If we both make it the first one can take the lead and the other can take pictures, etc and we can split up any loot accordingly. You never know though if someone else will show as well so we'll just play it by ear.

Don't worry about the time difference, what happens at 2 for me happens at three for you, so everything works out, your countdown ends at three.

Uhm, hello everyone. I'm in Atlanta as well, and so is my friend Blair. However, we didn't receive e-mails because we signed up rather late. Anyone mind telling us where we need to be this afternoon? Sorry to be a burden, but I do want to participate correctly as well.

I was looking at what 42E did for Flynn Lives , even created a map to see if there was a discernible visual pattern to their drops. No Joy. Here's the map, maybe you'll have better luck.
LINK to Flynn Lives MAP
* From what I can tell, they do stay within the city and won't bleed into Mesquite, Lancaster, Irving.... etc. Even the suburbs would be pushing it.
* Of the cities I looked at, the drops were usually south (southwest) of the city center so if you are hanging out near NorthPark Mall, it's a risk (I'm not saying you'll be wrong) just giving you a heads up.
* The drops were usually at intersections/ outside.
* The intersections were often not of any significance. (PDX, ORD, NYC being exceptions)
***************
So anyway,
Not sure I will be playing or not... its REALLY hot. : ) but maybe I will see you guys out there. Don't forget to take video. Stay safe.
found this in another thread, maybe you could find it useful? basically it shows the Atlanta drop for Flynn Lives, another ARG by 42E. Also they did one for The International, according to gdesignr, hopefully this will help.
EDIT: It was posted in the Dallas thread, so her locations are Dallas based.

Good find! that's in Little Five Points, right where the 2nd drop was for the Stop the International promotion. There is a good chance that's where we'll be today.
Looks like we have a few more players. Hello mouthwoodedher. Should we plan to try to meet up somewhere in Little Five Points? How about at Findley Plaza at the corner of McLendon Ave and Moreland Ave? The little area with benches, etc?
Of course the down side is that Atlanta is really huge. If it isn't in this area then we might be driving for a while and miss it. The other option is to spread out. I'm open to suggestions.
Edit: I looked around at the other cities. Some are treating this like a race for a prize since there is only one drop package, some are meeting up. If you want to meet just let me know here or @gdesignr on Twitter. I figure if it is a group we can draw numbers to see who gets to claim the package, and if the package can be split up then #1 gets first pick, #2 gets second, etc... and if it is a race we can go in the order that people get there. I do encourage you to wait around for 5 to 10 minutes if you are first and there are clues to solve, activities to perform, etc. The reason unfiction is successful is because these experiences are more fun when they are shared.

That's exactly what I was going to say, we know that there ARE going to be other people besides those of us from Unfiction looking, and other people are planning to stick around to let everyone else get a look at it. I'm for the group idea, even though I won't be there. Just remember, anything you find, let us know as soon as you can, so we can try to help.

Paul, just in case you don't know about this, unfiction has a variety of tools on this page for solving ciphers, etc in case we need help:
