(Side-Story?) Seeking Truth
New player, same game.

Another Slender Man story, it looks like. Different player though...think he'll fare any better?

What do you guys think?

Huh. Well I'd say definitely Slender Man, especially with the "circles with X's" and how the drawings are described.

Seems very well written so far. I found this part funny:
Quote:
One, someone had been following her. Whether it was all in her head or someone was definitely there, someone's presence kept her freaked out at all times. Two, eventually the stalking got to the point that it changed her entire personality. And three, whoever it was, no one else could see it.

It's like the rules for almost EVERY SM story Laughing .

And I like the nicknames, Spider-Freak, Tentacle Man, etc.

This is very well written, gotta say, one of the more believable ones I've seen.

Don't get me wrong, it is pretty well written and interesting so far, but... it seems to fall into the same problem (or maybe I'm the only one who sees this as a 'problem') that a lot of blog ARGs do: it has absolutely nothing before it gets into the Slendie. Don't get me wrong, it'd be boring if it waited too long, but sometimes it just irks me when people set up blogs for themselves and all of a sudden, the second post of the blog is Slendie. Blogs set up specifically because of the blogger wanting to talk about the stalking and such get a bit of leeway, but they still annoy me to a point. Am I the only one who feels this way (probably)?

You are not; while some notable side-stories (Just Another Fool, for one) take a while to get into the Slender-shenanigans, most blogs just tend to cut to the chase.

I, for one, would like to see a blog that is transformed into a Slenderblog after several weeks/months of it being used as a "standard" blog. Hmm~

This is really well-written, and possibly the first blog I've seen that got me interested enough to read all that was there. I'd really like to eventually see someone come up with a different approach than "oh no, someone's gone missing/I'm being stalked" though. I also hope this one doesn't diverge into TTA-ripoff crap like I've seen most of them do.

I'd kinda like to do something like that, or at least SEE someone do something like that without their storyline turning into utter crap. Would certainly make things more interesting.

Reminds me of my idea for a blog where one does everything to make it look like it'll become a SlenderARG but just keep it as a normal ol' blog.

On an unrelated note, I think I might need to register an actual account, I'm posting so much now...

Hey, neat, a pulpy sort of story! Having mucho problems trying to suspend my disbelief over the likelihood that he's a real person and not a fictional character (what kind of detective gives out real names of places and themselves to internet strangers? XD) and the accent I get off of Zeke is definitely New Yorker, but hey, it's a fun cadence to read!

*thumbs up, goes back to readin' through it* There had better be fedoras and cigarette smoke and trumpets involved here at some point. Razz

Yeah, I had to get over my difficulties suspending my disbelief before I could start enjoying it. The fact that someone in his position is keeping a journal like this in the first place, the cryptic silliness in the URL, the fact that someone like him would have a rainbow polkadot blog ... but it's still the most interesting one to me so far :v

The thing that makes me giggle about ARG's is that there's always the opportunity to be so meta. XD

Anyways, I suppose that I like this because, so far, the characters we've had a chance to watch and interact with are quite bland. Their development has always taken a back seat to the horror of Slendy. This guy... I'm not sure if we're going to see Zeke actually develop, or if he's going to stay a flat character, but at least he's got a very specific voice!

If one'a you guys are the PM and this isn't from off site, while I know that you're not allowed to reveal yourself, good job so far! Very Happy

I had some minor ideas for a Slenderblog (which could go from non-Slendy to somewhat-Slendy - with the sightings and so on, but it would turn out that one of the "main character's" neighbours was actually being stalked, who goes "missing" - back to non-Slendy. But it was largely unplotted and so on, plus I'm too lazy to make an ARG XD;

Enough about "what I'd like to see"; I'm keeping an eye on this blog, since it seems to be something of a diamond in the rough as far as Slenderblogs go.
