Puppetmaster tools for managing and ARG

My company uses the following

google docs (we all can co-edit in real time and share files in a cloud)
asana (keeps tasks in order)
gliffy (flowcharts are a must, and I love how gliffy handles it)
tungle (helps us because many members of the team are in differnt parts of the country, so this simplifies arranging meetings)

I am on each of those literally every work day.

I'm using yWriter right now, which is great for keeping character arcs/what's happened and has happened so far straight. You make a short bio and name and nickname and other notes about them and stuff. Other writing tools do this too. I haven't looked too far into other ones, but this one is good. I wish it had a calender fuction though, better to plan out when each thing is going to happen so you don't get too excited and use it right away.

Uuuh, I mostly keep a notebook filled with scribblings for what characters look like and sound to get a good idea of how to make them more real. Like one of my characters talks kind of like Terra did in the Judas Contract, very southernish and snippy and flying off the handle. "sumn' like this, 'f it makes sense ta ya."

I really really like keeping a voice note recorder on my phone, so I can capture the emotion in my voice when I get an idea. It helps me keep the same feeling when I'm putting it into action, and it helps me get ALL of the idea instead of a quick "so and so dies" it's "X and Y get togehter one night and end up killing Z and it's all ultraviolent like the opening to Clockwork Orange" and then I'll run a few lines I want worked into the dialouge between X and Y in the chatroom, help make the characters mroe real in my mind so I can make it mroe real to the players.

Yea, yWriter and voice notes on my phone are all I've used so far. I've also made a FictionPress account to backup all my word files after having some major computer issues that made my game pause for about a month after I lost EVERYTHING. I'd really reccomend a FictionPress just to store your text documents at least. Back EVERYTHING up.

Google docs is probably the most used tool for me.

It's not ideal for everything, but it's available for everyone and simple to use.

https://docs.google.com/ in case someone hasn't heard of it. All you need is a google account.
