 		Okay I had my friend do an NFC scan with the FAILTECH ID card. It provides a link to a website:

When I put that in, I got an error, so instead I put in things like http://agents.failtechnologies.com which explained a little more. It's an Agent Portal/File Directory, similar to the FAILTECH Intranet (which is now down -- or defunct?). The URL http://agents.failtechnologies.com/secure indicates a 5-digit ID -- I guess our ID is 05649. I hope it's the same for all of us! Can someone with a card confirm that the ID is the same?

Okay, and finally, I put in the URL http://agents.failtechnologies.com/secure/05649 which throws up an Authorization screen. Now we're getting somewhere! But I don't know what the login/password should be. Is the login "arctechone"? Is the password something from the card? Are we supposed to use our old logins/passwords from the intranet or what? I'm not sure. I'm about to head out for the day so I'll check back in tomorrow, maybe someone can take a stab at this and tell us what it's all about.

Also, there's a system announcement on the phone message system (619) 722-3245 -- something about four reserved slots being populated upon system trigger, additionally four slots has been locked. Four?

 		I'm going to be withdrawing from the ARG. Long story short, I realized that IRL personal issues (i.e. nothing ARG or forum-related) are keeping me from being productive on the forum (a.k.a. I'm not being a cool person to be around). I let the ARG team know that I am withdrawing as well, so I know what to do with what they had sent me (I'll update when I learn what to do with them). Take care, guys

 		The phoneline had updated... There seems to be SSTV in there... Both on Posse and Lystella's code...

 		@Lystella: I don't know, as far as what you've been up to on the forum here, why you could think that you aren't nice to be around/productive. Even when you don't have time to actively contribute (like I, right now, though I still try to throw my 2 cents in occasionally), it's still nice to have another voice in the mix. Besides! you've just about always been the one to update the wiki when I don't have time to get to it (which has, again, been a lot, lately) (I know this because I never turned off Wikia's inconsistently designed email notifications). I call that a huge contribution!

It's your choice, obviously, and I don't know the other side of things, but I hope you at least stick around as a friendly source of occasional opinion.

 		Aw, thanks for playing with us Lystella, please keep an eye on things if you can!

Also I decided to decode the SSTV (Thank you shortwave hobby) and see what it was. Both of the soundclips were of the same image and in the end they said,

 		Great job phantom!! I always liked the SSTV puzzles. I guess we need to wait for the next message from this mysterious new character?

Not much to report: Dan Miller filled me in on the username/password to use on the Agent Portal.

Other than that, not much to update. Kaido (aka Rifter) was able to copy Matthew Johnson, and Dan Miller has the real Matthew Johnson secured. Currently what's next is to try to convince Pablo Jose that Rifter is Matthew Johnson. Haven't heard yet whether this is successful.

Something interesting I found from zeighy's barcode solve when you use the FAILTECH private message line (619-722-3245):
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you put 45460, it gives the following message: "45460 acknowledged. Private Agent Voice Portal logged out. Access denied. Request uplink from [couldn't hear this word]. Connection will now be closed." and then it hangs up automatically. WEIRD!


Also, updates from LAINSY: The stolen ship is back in sensor range, but where's Genus?

 		Hello jdude104! No, it's never to late to participate, as Season 2 just started. You can catch up on recent going-on's here and at the wiki.

Also, I was contacted by a Scott Wellesley (scott.wellSPLATfailtechnologies.com) who is from the Beta team in the Intelligence Department of FAILTech, who asked for some info on my R&D skills, as he is thinking about putting me in R&D, which I wouldn't mind at all. Razz

 		Welcome jdude! We could definitely use your help! I think the first thing that should be done is to apply to join FAILTECH: http://join.failtechnologies.com/

phantom just started at Season 2 not too long ago and that sounds really interesting that he's been invited to work with the Intelligence Department -- some mysterious messages are being left by someone from that department! I'm assuming that starting from here we may get some assignments or more puzzles to solve. I think the game is still in the introductory phase of Season 2, trying to wait for more players to join, get used to the characters, etc.

Currently character interaction is desperately needed. We need people to talk to the characters and get more information about what is going on. Good people to talk to about what's going on at FAILTECH are the following:
  • LAINSY is FAILTECH's supercomputer, it has a lot of resources available and you can query it for information - commandSPLATlainsy.net
  • Dan Miller is high up on the FAILTECH administration (Board of Directors, or BOD) and knows on a high-level what's going on and has access to a lot of resources - dan.millerSPLATfailtechnologies.com
  • Rifter/Kaido Yonwin is an alien(!) from a Void, he jumps between "rifts" in time/space, this is his first visit to Earth, he has a skill where he can impersonate anybody. The rift he came in pulled our FAILTECH supervisor Inno Ellis into the Void, so he's looking for a way to jump back. He can impersonate people, currently he's impersonating Matthew Johnson in order to get more information on Nox Ordo - inno.ellisSPLATfailtechnologies.com

Other characters I would consider not as helpful or are currently MIA but seem to be playing an important role in the game, if you can contact them and talk to them this would be super:
  • Genus Orein, a FAILTECH super-scientist who is in what is effectively a TARDIS-like ship, is currently chasing after a stolen FAILTECH ship, and hasn't shown up on sensors in a while - genusoreinSPLATgmail.com
  • Matthew Johnson is a FAILTECH employee but also a low-level Nox Ordo member in charge of the Nox Ordo archives, he tends to divulge more information than other Nox Ordo suspects. However Rifter's currently impersonating him - matt.johnSPLATfailtechnologies.com
  • Pablo Jose is a FAILTECH employee but also Nox Ordo member, doesn't like to talk much, maybe someone else can get something out of him? - pablo.joseSPLATfailtechnologies.com
  • Micael Ajax is a captain of a FAILTECH ship that's from the future, and his ship appeared here and it's in trouble, about to run out of power. I don't know if anyone else is talking to him but he has some sort of Formspring page set up here: http://itallstarted.com/ask

There have been a TON of other characters to interact with in FAILTECH, these are just a couple of active ones, but feel free to find the others (ask LAINSY for their email addresses once you join)!

 		Okay... I'm in. There is a TON to take in, but I think I have the gist of it. I've applied to Join FAILTech (Still can't get over the name! *lol*).

Hopefully I'll hear back soon and be of some use in this. When was the last update?

 		I have a couple of updates!

I had asked Dan about Protocol 45460 that zeighy had figured out earlier and that I found was somehow linked to the private messaging line.

In phantom's SSTV solve there was mention of the Intelligence Department "Internal Agent Collective" which I'd never of before. I queried LAINSY about it and found:

Things continue to be slow on Rifter's impersonation of Matthew Johnson. He's trying to slowly gain Pablo Jose's trust that he is Matthew:

I suspect James Barron, Joseph Dillinger, and Billy Chan are together. They're probably on the stolen FAILTECH ship.

Speaking of the stolen FAILTECH ship, it's reached the unknown signal source and is doing something (unknown):
