It's been a while, but here's something. I asked Dan Miller where to tell Adiu to transfer/forward the solution it has for the HTR Agent problem and he said the following:
Daniel wrote:
There's a secure port on lainsy they could access by initially connecting to lainsy.net/port/42000/ and then they should be able to receive instructions on how to transfer data.

I haven't told Adiu the URL yet because when I went to it, the source had the following hidden in it:
Code:
redir denied to port 42100
client not recorgnized

And when you go to http://www.lainsy.net/port/42100/ you get jumped through a number of web pages that have some binary code. Does the binary mean anything to you guys? I wanted to check with you before I relay Adiu the URL address.

Funny... I get a name resolution error when I try to tracert that address...
In fact, I can't get a trace on anything within /port...

Although, I'm not sure if tracert would even give a sequential list of redirect URLs, which is what I was going for...

The way I could get the URLs was by looking at the source of each page (see the first line, the meta tag), and so I got these following pages in order:
http://www.lainsy.net/port/42100/
http://www.lainsy.net/port/42100/init/
http://www.lainsy.net/port/42100/sync/
http://www.lainsy.net/port/42100/tnsf/
http://www.lainsy.net/port/42100/rou/
http://www.lainsy.net/port/42100/rou/node647/
http://www.lainsy.net/port/42100/rou/node416/
http://www.lainsy.net/port/42100/rou/node700/
http://www.lainsy.net/port/42100/rou/check/

and then it redirects back to http://www.lainsy.net/port/42000.

Wow, how did you manage to view the source when the pages only stay onscreen for less than a second?

Google Chrome can do it -- if you type in view-source:http://lainsy.net/port/42100/ then it automatically pulls the source and doesn't do the redirect.

Interesting! Seems that works in Firefox, too. Thanks for the neat tip!

I don't have time to look over the contents right now, but I'll see if I can get to it later if no one else does.

I've been ridiculously busy IRL but last week I got a ping from Genus after I had sent him a message that the Fifth Day happened and what's the status in our present day time.
Genus Orein wrote:
Ah! I remember that from the archives... Sorry it takes a while to respond, connection is not very reliable and it's a hit or miss when trying to nail a specific link-to date. So I just try to fire an email the closest I could get. If you're in that point in time, I'm pretty sure the resolution is coming. Just keep an eye on Gregor Maximus. He's gonna be a real pain if you miss him.

Also, on my end, things aren't so well. We kinda figured out what those unknown ships are. But, we're not in the correct time period. We haven't nailed the exact time period we are on, yet. But, we're working on that. Any contact with Alpha on your end? You might still have a link to their time period, it will help us immensely if we could get a message through to them.

I've pinged a couple of other folks too, so I'll update if I hear from anybody.

Sorry haven't been active guys... Been busy with RL stuff...

Anyway, updates on sites:

itallstarted.com

Code:
PRIVATE LOG

Leon Lehrer
Orientation Agent, Karous - Division 2
Anfang Civil Administration

Page: 1

0166-2-13 02:29
Karous, Gweniu, Jukasa -- Karous Carved Mind Sourcing Facility

Oddly enough there was this letter sent to me from a private line. It was odd because it appears to be a secure message, and yet it doesn't have a sender. Secure messages should always have senders.

With some doubt, I reluctantly openned the message and it read,

"Leon Lehrer, we have pin pointed you as an important piece of history. You may have doubts about this message, but remain calm. This message was inserted directly into your NMC through secure means. This message is untraceable and will auto delete once you close this message. PLEASE do not close this message until you have read everything.

"There has been an anomaly, history is volatile and the timeline is getting corrupted. You are in the best position to move on our behalf. Who we are is irrelevant. What you need to is what's important. A ship will arrive and you will need to save it. You will know which ship when the time comes."

That message was gone, but was short enough to remember. I feel like that message is a prank, otherwise, there's just something wrong about it. The message and the premise.

Another work shift, another quota to be met. I don't understand why I ever chose this career path. I could have been an engineer working on the prototype of the next generation transport system, but then I am here sitting on my desk typing away my time I could be spending reviewing the carving programme for the next generation of carved mind. Don't get me wrong, this job is easy, but I don't see myself getting engraved in history for anything important.

I should have stayed on Anfang and requested for a career change. But that's too late. I've been on this job for seven cycles, and I've pretty much blew through it. I should plan when and where to for my next mandatory vacation.
