When he says "the same thing they did to Miller," does he mean act on a prompt offered by a perceived stranger? I mean, we kept in contact with him the whole time and gave advanced notice about the reboot, and I was a little surprised by how well he took it. I suppose Sword does seem like the kind of guy who'd react badly if not heard out. Then again, he seemed to appreciate your "stern" response, and just kinda shrugged when we wrote off "Scimitar." Buh, it's still tough to get a feel for this guy...

I will say he writes like a businessman though. I wanted to break out a red pen while reading his messages. XD

Red Pen! That made me laugh. He is an interesting character. Can't wait to see how this plays out.

Finally got an email back from Dan. There is some underhanded stuff going on here.

Yes, I know I am also to be blamed for failing to see the problem in the first place. Now that I am much more aware of what and who's behind all of these, I am quite much relieved that Genus is ok. Take my word, I am still not happy that someone I call my best friend has done something like this to me. Maybe indirectly, but I am still mad he trusted Alex. Why not me? I've trusted him for so long, and never really done anything wrong. How could he just treat me like this? Alex might have just corrupted Genus, which is why this entire is now a big mess.

I still don't know what's the point of all of these. Why does Genus have to do all of these? Alex says Genus was really behind all of these and he's just helping him. I can't believe that. I honestly believe Alex is behind all of these and Genus is just like his puppet of some sort. Nonetheless, I still thank you all for the concern and loyalty. I know I shouldn't be sending Posse an email, but I think I'll just forgive him on this one. It's all Alex to blame here. I knew he was up to something here, he really wanted to take over my operation here in the Antarctica Facility when that incident the other week happened. I insisted that I should take charge, since this is MY facility. So he had no choice, and the board agrees.

Alex says Genus is on his way to our Space Command Facility. Heck, I don't even know we had one. I'm not so sure why he's going there, but if he has the some dangerous stuff with him right now I'm guessing it's for no good. Alex doesn't say why or for what Genus is going there. He's probably covering up his plan that he made Genus do. I'm running out of ideas here. I'm not so sure if I can really work with Alex now, but I guess I'll have to try. It's the only way to know what the real plan is and what's going on.

I'll inform you if anything comes up.

Hey, Alex just wanted to reboot LAINSY, he didn't say anything about not warning Miller about it. I figured it was only fair to give him a heads up.

Right now I don't think there are any real "defined" sides yet -- both Alex & Miller want to help Genus and figure out what's going on. Miller just thinks Genus is crazy and Alex thinks Genus is talking to aliens.

Yup, I agree- with the risk of biohazard or worse, it only seemed right to let 'em know. Even if one of our contacts may or may not be happy with that, it was a group decision and we'll live with it collectively. Very Happy

As for Alex's latest message, he doesn't seem to be an especially trusting person. Dan is that way too, but in a way that he skimps on detail and stays vague, like he doesn't want us to know he's keeping us in the dark on certain things. Alex, however, has been fairly forthcoming with how he doesn't put much trust in us. Genus obviously has trust issues if he's sending us codes, too. Not like all this isn't stuff we didn't know, but it's interesting how the upper echelons of FAILTECH have problems with trust. Not that any of that makes them not trustworthy, though. So far what Alex has to say, despite being mixed with quite a bit of opinion and emotion, has seemed to be legit.

...I obviously didn't use the word "trust" enough in the above paragraph. Trust. Now it doesn't look like a word...

I emailed Alex about how the repairs were going and this was his response:

I've been emailing Dan, and he's spoken about the Space Command Facility a bit and even gave us a possible hint at Genus' language:

And aeronautics? Like going to outer space? But then, we can't really execute it because we can't really travel that far, yet, in such short period of time to actually conduct an experiment.

But then now, it appears we have a Space Command Facility. I don't know exactly where it is, yet. I don't have much clue, but I suppose it's away from anywhere that anyone can observe it. Nonetheless, I can't exactly say what their definite plan is. I've checked the site you're saying, and if it is indeed from Genus, then I suppose it is indeed possible that he might have been talking to things out of this world. If you and your experts team can, can you try to check if there are other similar languages or letters, or symbols, that may resemble these so called alphabet. Because it can be possible that our out of this world contact might just be in this world and just messing with Genus.

Oh, and we'll be getting LAINSY back in full in a few hours. I'll keep you posted, or just check the site from time to time.

Mhm, I'd like to know more as well, specifically why Alex knows about it but Dan doesn't. I'd also like to know why Alex abhors being so involved, too.

Also, what do you guys think- Genus has been talking to aliens, or Earth trolls? I kinda like both thoughts, myself. d:
