PLEASE move this info to the "jukebox" game thread, it has nothing to do with the countdown dots puzzle here.

Also, that should be in a spoiler box as many UF readers may not want all the answers before trying on their own.

Let us please not forget the off-centered pentagon sporting the number five. There is a chance that we completely blew past something during our rush of discoveries.

So many backseat moderators, so little time.

This late in the game (fifteen pages of posts), you'd think that people would search this in-depth for the answer to the entire thing. I doubt that spoilers are necessary.

Just been skimming through the first few pages, one post caught my attention with lining up the letters and numbers on diffirent lines and angling them to create what appears to be the formation of a spider web,can anyone confirm this?

You need to read on a bit mate, the puzzle has been solved. Basically you connect the dots but by crossing through the pentagon in the middle. eg. red a1 to red a1 cross secting through the middle.

This gives you a symbol. This symbol is in semaphore (look up a semaphore alphabet on the web):

http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://images.wikia.com/arthur-ransome/images/d/db/Semaphore_alphabet.jpg&imgrefurl=http://arthur-ransome.wikia.com/wiki/Semaphore&h=268&w=428&sz=33&tbnid=WHViqX2eATxHfM:&tbnh=79&tbnw=126&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dsemaphore%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=semaphore&hl=en&usg=__UuRra1oGGNOZxuo_MLrfk_4a0DE=&sa=X&ei=n34hTvzrGsGmhAeYh82UAw&sqi=2&ved=0CF4Q9QEwCQ

now you repeat this for all the corresponding colours and they spell out a combination of words. Run these through an anagram solver and you get a word.

Red A1 = L
Red A2 = H
Red A3 = E
Red A4 = P

This when unscrambled spells 'HELP'

Do the same for all the different colours and you get a series of words. Take the first letter from each of the words and they spell three new words that lead you to the next part of the puzzle.

I can't figure out the solution to Level 19! The answer on Wikibruce's site is incorrect! Anyone figured it out?

You mean for the audio puzzle?

Can we add a [SOLVED] tag to this topic? It might help with all the "misguided" theories. Wink

I don't think this has been mentioned, I'm sure I'll be corrected if it has.

Clicking on the expired timer at the end of The Genesis no longer takes you to the /countdown.htm puzzle. You just go directly to the /reclaimthelight game.

I suppose that's to cater to the casual players or people just finding out about the game.

Still, I think giving people the choice of figuring out the puzzle or finding information online about it would be a better policy.

So pretty much unless you find out about /countdown.htm through OOG sources, you'll never get to enjoy that puzzle.

I kinda agree with you Bill. Or at the very least add a 'skip to next step' button that takes you to the audio game.

On the other hand, I look at it as an "Event Puzzle". One that we were led to (usually by a countdown) and we all work together as a community to try and crack. Once that EP has been figured out we go into solo play for a little bit until the next big event. Either way, the EP is for the group as a collective. I'm thankful to have witnessed the excitement, confusion, frustration, and excitement again when the solution was finally figured out. The new lone player would most likely see it as a stubborn obstacle and might give up.
