After doing some research, the Angular Gyrus deals with SYMBOL recognition as well as metaphorical thinking. There is also some evidence that stimulating this area of the brain can cause some people to have an out-of-body experience.

Take this information as you will. I worked hard for this, and for once I feel like I truly contributed something a little worthwhile.


TO was edited into the video. he appears over one of alex's family members was standing, clearly showing that he wasn't actually there. it was TTA trying to creep alex out. clearly he had not been followed since childhood, because everyone said alex "changed" when he stopped filming the movie / when he met slendy


I see your point, though I'm not sure I totally agree with it. But its still possible that the entry could symbolize that Alex "wished for" the Operator or created him out of his imagination, is it not? Whether he actually did at that at the time entry 37 was filmed matters not, really.



just my two cents, but why would a little kid wish for a paranormal being to be his friend? he had a bunch of friends at his party. i think it was more for whoever uploaded it to freak alex/jay out and make them think they've been watched since childhood. if you want to believe the video is unedited and that slendy was there, explain why the drawn-in operator symbol appears above his face for a brief second earlier in the clip.

Oh I'm not smashing down your ideas or anything. I'm just presenting something that I thought of that may spur others' thoughts. Honestly, I'm positive that my theory wasn't completely right. My intention was just to draw connections between various entries and TTA videos so other readers may think of something to contribute.

My personal beliefs about the discrepancy you pointed out are just that: personal.

 		Been a lurker on this site for a while and love seeing everyone's takes and theories for each entry, but figured I'd finally make an account and start posting to hopefully add some things that may have not been stated yet.

Although it seems unlikely, I like the theory that TO has been with Alex since he was a child by wishing for an imaginary friend to 'come to life'. Assuming that this is true, remember the doll in the original house Jay investigated? It's a bit of a stretch stretch, but could that have been what The Operator originally was? A doll that Alex, as a child, was attached to like any other kid is with their toys/dolls? Probably not, but just food for thought and me trying to make connections.

Question though, the idea that Alex was summoning TO is pretty solid, but WHY would he, or anyone for that matter, want to do something like that? We know that Alex knows how to escape TO as he has done it before by abandoning everything related to him and attempting to simply forget and move on with life.

Side note: It's pretty obvious that #44 happens some time recently following what happened in #43. Alex isn't wearing the same clothes as he was in the last entry, so if anything we can conclude that this entry was, at minimum, a day later.

yooo lay off that shift key bro.

anyway this entry wasnt all that scary tbh, slendy didn't look all that great in 43 but i still got the chills when the camera rolled to him. not in this one though.

Yah, memory is definitely more reliable than video footage in a show where the antagonist affects memories. Just because Alex doesn't remember it doesn't mean it never happened.


Anyway, on to the important part: I believe the Operator has finally learned how to Operate a camera, it flashes off and the feces hits the rotary device. That or he managed to shut off the light, and during the blackout he grabbed Alex/ Alex made a run for it. Silly of Alex to have left the door closed when he was so careful to keep it open a crack at the beginning of the series.

didn't he make that so that jay would go back to the house and go into the door that was previously locked when he tried to open it?

this. it was an overall underwhelming entry and i don't see why it took 2 weeks to create. yes i know they have lives outside of this, but this video looks like it could have been created in 2-3 hours, maybe more with adjusting the lighting and editing slendy near the end. i was expecting more considering jay said we'd be seeing stuff ramp up in a few weeks nearly a month ago. i was also pretty much expecting slendy at the end to pop up somewhere. when he parallelled masky in entry 19 i facepalmed. was anyone else at the 3 minute mark in the video going "what what what when is something going to happen this is filler"
