I'm sorry to burst the bubble of the non-believers but at 02:37 there is the famous Slendy video distortion which indicates that he is near the camera. So I think it's safe to assume that Slendy scared The Ark Initiative away.

So the presence of light sources from the nearby houses and street lamps would allow us to see the black of the mask, but it would be obscured in a more low-light setting, like the middle of the woods? I have been trying to learn if this is so all day. Rolling Eyes

Edit: Even so, I still find that there is enough circumstantial evidence to support the 3-person theory. The even, heavy sound of the footsteps of the person barreling into Alex, the stillness of the figure that distracts Alex from said barreling, etc. Even if it turns out not to be true, it still has to be one of the least irritating conjectures that have ever been made on this forum.

As a videographer who has been filming for 7 years, I can say with absolute confidence that even with nightshot on (especially in newer cameras) that light that already exists on set would trump the IR from the nightshot, thus making the color switch very legit.

I'm half-assed tempted to recreate Hoody's mask myself and bust out the old Hi8 (with nightshot) to perform my own lighting/image tests.

It's actually the teleportation tear. We see it whenever someone or something suddenly appears, and it's happened with both 0-town AND Masky.

Masky had already appeared when his tears occur. Plus, earlier entries heavily imply that the tear simply means The Operator is near, or has just appeared.

I was actually referring to the hotel scene when Masky enters the room. We get a tear there, and there's never any sign Stretch Armstrong.

Just re-watched Entry 33, and I don't see the tear... The camera just goes out of focus.

Tear's at 1:55. I'd give a screenshot, but I'm at the office, and there's corporate block-age going on.

I don't think that's necessary. I really was just looking for someone to say yea or nay on whether that was something that cameras, you know, actually did or not. Thanks a lot for clearing that up.
