Keep in mind I only half believe this theory, and I view it as speculation.

What if they ran from...Tim?

I agree on the notion of Totheark being a discrete society, involving many people wearing masks. I've also heard names like "The Masked Coalition" which sounds cooler to me.

There has been Tim's mask, and the Skull mask, Tim's you can see in this entry on the person with the block of cement, the other I can't distinguish.

Masky (whom I will call the person wearing Tim's known mask from henceforth) attempted to attack Alex with a block of cement. Whether "attempt" is the right word is debatable, but he DID also try to choke Alex.

Some might speculate this is actually Tim. I disagree, only on the sole notion that he looks a little different, and for the purposes of this theory.
Say there was a member of To The Ark that was "this guy", the guy who's kind of a suckup. After Alex broke Tim's leg, "this guy" wanted revenge, but Tim, due to his strange importance in the society, wouldn't have it. So, to subdue psychological torture, as well as physical torture on Alex, "this guy" steals Tim's mask, gets a block of cement, and tries to kill Alex. Tim shows up, and they run.

I don't really believe this all through out. On another level, I still believe it really is Tim, and they ran from something else.

It's an interesting idea, but I think it makes more sense that they're running from something else. As has been said before, the block of cement seems like a fitting revenge... and TTA is nothing if not painfully poetic. Seeing as how we see all of this evidence to show how someone has been lurking around the Operator outside of Alex's season 1 shenanigans, I think it would be appropriate that the two of them -- the masked guys -- should show an ability to notice the Operator when they get wind of him.

I don't think that Tim can in any way be cast as a misunderstood hero. Nothing that he has done has been overtly helpful, but much of what he has done has gotten Jay into deeper shit than before.

Even if he is helping, I don't think that there's any sense of philanthropy behind it.

While you think that the person in the mask "doesn't look like Tim," the problem remains that, to date, the only person we've seen wearing the Masky mask has been Tim, and demonstrated adequately to be him every time.

There's no new evidence to make us think it's someone else.
