[UPDATE] Wongmo's Mailbag

mailbag

This is mine.

What does Wongmo really believe when he sees a mysterious green light in the sky?

Answer:

Wongmo believes it means "Step on the gas, the light has changed."

--Wongmo

Bastard. I sent him this one first, then I send him hatemail when I found out that he's a liar posing as Leiphe and Kane.

Dear Wongmo, I have been having great trouble dealing with breakfast cereal lately. Soups also frequently present a problem. I know that, if anyone can help, it is you. My question is simple…is there, in fact, a spoon?

Answer:

The is that is now and the is that will be are not the same as the is that once was.

--Wongmo

That's me. I'm not sure where he got "E.M." from, those aren't even my initials...strange. It's also strange because I sent this slightly pathetic question a long time ago, I think right after we realized that the mailbag existed. Also...what on earth was he smoking when he typed that reply?

[Edit] Actually, now that I think about it, it does sorta make sense.

The is that is now and the is that will be are not the same as the is that once was.

Meaning...the spoon that exists from now on is different from the spoons that existed in the past, when we lived in the real world. Creepy. I'm now quite freaked out...would there be a Wongmo-y in-game interpretation of that?

At least he didnt tell you to get in touch with your inner dolphin..

His response to your question was actually one of his funnier replies..

Oh, God, I really hate that reply. When this guy goes on his next retreat, I hope he drinks the koolaid first.

Honestly, I don't KNOW what sending these questions to him is supposed to prove. It's not even remotely helpful. The only answers we actually get are those telling us to follow our inner dolphin and release our inner fire or something. Plus he's even a fictional persona within the game.

Well, let me tell you something, Wongmo. You want inner fire(1)? I'll give you inner fire all right. I'll release my inner fire all over your obnoxious self and your smarmy inner squeaky dolphin. Okay? How does that sound?

And it's a good thing for you that you don't have stairs(2) in your house.

(1)(yes, this refers to methane. -_-)
(2)(the terrible secret of space!)

I don't know who R.Y. is but the following is probably mildly important.

How did you find out about Underscore hosting? Also what do you know about Dr. Leo Kane and Fiona Leiphe?

Answer:

Wongmo has been part of Underscore's affiliate program for some time now, having been referred by a student who had had similar problems to Wongmo's as regarded unreliable hosting service.

Dr. Kane first came to Wongmo's notice due to a puzzling case that Wongmo was able to resolve even when others, such as Dr. Kane, could not be of assistance. Dr. Kane then sought out Wongmo for contact and consultation.

Dr. Leiphe, for whom Wongmo has the highest regard, is a frequent contributor to Wongmo's seminars.

Wow, Toast, on a rampage! You ARE the pusher robot!

But what does it say about us that we're getting all hostile towards a twice-fictional Hawaiian dude?

I'm guessing it says that I (I'm not sure about you) have very little patience for (twice) fictional smarmy smiley-faced hippie new-age people.

...wow, that was a lot of descriptive terms.

Why, yes. I did, and I am touched by the gesture.

I'm R.Y. and I just noticed my letter got published. I submitted it a LONG time ago hoping it would give us an answer tieing all this together, but naturally Wongmo replied 5 weeks later with a bunch of stuff on how great he was for helping a patient Kane never could.
