[TRAILHEAD?] Austrailian Interior Authority I checked up on Reddit moments ago and saw this thread being the second highest on the front page.
http://www.reddit.com/r/reddit.com/comments/igcyd/
It is a photo of a bus stop, seemingly parodying the increasingly draconian laws in Australia.

The poster has a URL and phone number:

However, after checking the website I feel this might be a trailhead, as the site has a link for a 'SECURE LOGIN' page.
Also a whois turns up this advertising company:

I'm in the UK, so I can't call the number.
What now?

Re: [TRAILHEAD?] Austrailian Interior Authority It's certainly *something*, seeing the bit about "Signed into law and dated 9th of August 2021"

I found a report from someone in Australia for you

They're looking into it as well at http://www.truthdetective.com.au/

I'm considering filing one on Spoony, myself.
(Also, I see you have a spinning Cruxshadows logo as your avatar, Mr. Darkvale. Permit me to compliment you on your taste in music!)

I've gone and 'reported a citizen' myself, as well as giving the AIA phone number a call. I hope this turns out to be something interesting. Well, I'll be watching and waiting either way.

I reported a citizen, but as I am in the US and am nervous about long distance phone calls, I didn't give a number. We'll see what this one turns into?

I also reported a citizen via the website. Plan to call today and leave details (mentioning wanting to make a report) on the phone.
Happy something happening in Australia

Having a close look at the thread on Reddit seems to suggest that this is actually a campaign designed to indirectly protest the incoming 'plain packaging' cigarette laws in Australia. So far there has only been a VERY heavy-handed campaign about 'nanny state politics' which hasn't done anything for the tobacco lobby's cause.
A look at the website sees a heavy preference towards issues that a university-age audience would identify with (no public assembly, no unauthorized textbooks etc). This is the smoking industry's key market - they can lobby this group more directly because 18 is the legal sale of cigarettes age in Australia.
There's been quite a bit of chatter in the Aussie sales and marketing community about when the pro-smoking lobby would start a smarter campaign then the 'nanny state' ads. If this is it then I'm a little freaked out by how intriguing it is.

A note about the Australian Interior Authority

To:No Recipient
To whom it may concern
Over the last few weeks, internet banner ads and posters across the
country alerted citizens to the concept of the Australian Interior
Authority –which some believed may have been spurred by a new television
series, or even a computer game.
The reality is that the Australian Interior Authority is fictitious and
these posters and billboards were designed to highlight real-life human
rights issues that are happening somewhere in the world right now.
They're in stark contrast to the democratic nature of Australia – a
society that encourages freedom of speech, and allows a quality of life
that clearly should never be undervalued.
Thank you for registering your interest with us and requesting more
information. We would like to invite you to visit www.ourfreedom.com.au to
learn more about democracy and other related issues.
We encourage you to discuss and fully understand democracy and the value
it adds to our lives, as Australians.
