Seems we have a lot of music and movie references going on here. I wonder if Reign Over Me will make an appearance...

New video up. Does anyone know where this is, and think they might be able to go look for it?

It's Grand Ferry Park in Brooklyn, looking SW towards the Williamsburg bridge.

Compare to photo halfway down this page:

Any New Yorkers on here that can go take a look?

I've only been to NYC once, and I stayed in Times Square the whole time, so sorry for a noobish question. Is Ground Zero within a reasonable proximity to this area, or even viewable from the park or bridge?

Must be a USB key... whatever it was, it was tiny.

I just received a new package in the mail.
No PW but I did receive 7 of the same cards we have already seen.

This A: floppy disc is very different from the others we have seen to date. It only had 3 files on it. One of the items is a puzzler.

I have a floppy disk in my possession. I'll try to recover what's in it soo. I don't have a thing near here to read it. You'll have to wait till tomorrow, might have something at the office. I'm Baroblik on twitter.

I received two disks.

No PW.
They are a floppy disk and... a zip disk.

In Japan, zip disk is a minor device,
so I'm not sure I can read it soon.
Anyway I will try.

I'm excited to see whats on that zip disk...
The files on the new new disk Greystone was sent are interesting.
"Nautilus" was the name of a Northrop Grumann tactical high energy laser project for Israel's border defence (later replaced by Iron Dome which uses "david's sling" missiles [unrelated] and Skyguard which is the modern permutation of Nautilus). Anyways, it fits with the pun.

It seems that xml3k7 is a defense contractor? The insider information Ag0ny is offering after having lunch with "Adam" is that Nautilus will be shut down. Xml does not object and seems to prefer the idea of the private sector. Ag0ny offers xml a job, xml wants out.

Xml delays quitting because of a "baptism" (think Tom Cruise)
Tom Cruise is a known scientologist, and USS Nautilus is the first nuclear powered submarine, aboard which L Ron Hubbard allegedly ran tests for his gizmos.

Thoughts? i know these forums are being lurked despite the overwhelming general silence...

Guys, the Cloudmakers aren't involved in this ARG. This was posted today in the yahoo group:
Quote:
Hi all,

Just a small clean-up item:

A currently-running alternate reality game entitled The Darkest Puzzle and
centered on September 11th conspiracy theories frequently namechecks
Cloudmakers. While it is possible that members of this group may be part of
that game's design team, this game should not be considered sanctioned or
endorsed by our group.

Cloudmakers is a collection of individuals who came together in 2001 to solve a
single alternate reality game now known as The Beast. The Beast ended months
before the September 11th attacks. This group is not now, nor has ever been, a
body with a singular mindset. Shortly after the attacks, there were
disagreements on this forum as to whether our hive mind could be applied to
"solving" the attacks. The position of the moderation team, including myself,
was that this was not appropriate for our forum.

Our position as stated on September 12, 2001, can be read here:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/cloudmakers/message/44349

To reiterate: Cloudmakers as an organization is not behind the current ARG and
does not endorse the current ARG.

Thanks,
Bronwen Liggitt
Co-Moderator, Cloudmakers

yeah...bummer.

Still very new to this whole world (but loving it!) and was just trying to go with what parts of this puzzle bring to my mind.

Not sure if anyone has ever read the book "Enders Game" but that was the first thig that popped into my mind when checking out the mime-net site.

If you haven't read it, wiki has a little bit of a synopsis

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ender%27s_game

Anyways just wondering if that hint could be pushing us towards this type of story, and how anyone thinks it might effect where things are going?

Also DYING to see whats on the thumb drive.
