theres a lot of new information.
I just started a new job, so I'm pretty busy.
I'll be here as much as I can be.
Anyone receive anything new? I had hoped for a second package, but so far nothing...

I was going through the pictures in http://s1219.photobucket.com/home/hiddenfromview and noticed the tags. In the second picture the tag reads:
Quote:
Anyone coming after Tim Laden?
A quick google search for those words and you come across one bazillion pages like this:
http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/binladen_cia.html
(as far as I can tell the site is not related at all, but I haven't gone really far investigating).
What puzzles me (no pun intended) it's the tag for the first picture:

lets just say its not on the cards.
There are cards in every picture in the album in one way or another, but I think the tag refers to that particular photo. Any clue on where that money comes from?

The money though not very visible, looks to be Iraqi dinars.

I see two disks. There has to be more than just the 5 pics.
Am I also seeing a passport there?
All those boxes of wanted playing cards. Share the historic wealth! Most of those dudes are already dead anyway.

I received a zip disk for this (labeled 2003-2004), and don't plan on going through the trouble of stalking down a zip disk reader. I do consider the timing of this game to be in poor taste, and while Davies has every right to do this, it's also, as Davies admits on the website, not for everyone.
If there's someone in the Philadelphia area who does want to go through the trouble, drop me a PM or email and we can arrange a hand-off. Otherwise, you'll have to rely on the design principle of redundancy of information in unsolicited mailings.

If you do this:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Overlay the two butterfly puzzle pieces and the two pieces that come together to look like some kind of camera, the letters fit together and
you get this:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
alltheworldsa
gameandallth
menandwome
nmerelyplayers
Note: there's a missing "e" at the end of the second line. Significant?

Interesting:

Although I'm not sure why the game decided to be sensitive NOW.

Good job putting those pieces together.
Maybe unrelated, but the reason there is no "e" is because the number of letters in each line add up to 13, 12, 10 and 14 from top to bottom. More or less sequential, but no "11" present.
It seems that we are dealing with an ARG that is trying to act as an educational/ political tool. It's pretty interesting that Davies is using a game like this, necessarily part of MIME NET, to draw attention and criticism to the very thing we played into. Sort of fighting the system with the system....
anyways...
I hope most of the people lurking this thread will become more involved. Its a sensitive topic, and I do not doubt we've all had more than a few paranoid nights over this..
Actually, I'm curious if it's not over.
one last thing, its a modified Shakespeare quote

New to ARG Hey all, I'm new to the ARG world (just went through a crazy labyrinth of rabbit holes and past/finished ARGs, starting with Reznor's Year One)... And I was looking for a current one and stumbled across this on on Twitter... Unfortunately for me, I found The Darkest Puzzle on September 11, 2011, so uh.... The site was down and said "NO PLAY TODAY"... Would anyone be so kind as to fill me in on what's going on?

Newbie.. Terribly sorry to be any trouble, but I'm new here, unfortunately. If any of you guys could fill me in with what's going on, it shouldn't take much for me to grasp the current events.
Perhaps, I should introduce myself (God I hope I'm not seen as a thread jacker on my first day here... ._.) I am Eis. While I am merely a high school student, I have rather high deductive reasoning skills for my age, as well as a 4.0 GPA, which I do believe will prove to be quite useful in this mystery.
Once I get all the information pertaining to this ARG processed in my mind, I do hope to be helpful to you.
