I have a very hard time reading his comments. Until Grace acknowledges him, I don't think he's part of this, nor the key to this riddle. You can work that angle though, if you can find a way to make it work.

And Derek posted, his left ring finger was cut off. I feel pretty terrible about that :( Really really sad. I also expect Grace to find it when she get back from the observatory.
