But then, once again, we have the conflicting key information. Jay took the key in 46 and the key is not there in 45, so that would imply 45 is later than 46.


I'm still trying to catch up from last night and failing cus I only have an hour lunch BUT, what if the key just wasn't there in 45 because he didn't have it yet?

We know that Jay has an identical key. I can't remember if he put it on his key ring or not. If he didn't, Alex might have taken it from him at some point? Just being the voice of the other side! Don't eat me!

Also, the person that posted the picture of the empty wall in 45 with no keys, if you go forward a few more frames to Alex standing in the doorway you can see the huge hunk of keys hanging off his belt loop and you can hear them as he's running. But not the bronze key that was by it'self. That was still missing.

 		My first thought on this video:

Jay's (text) remark near the end, where he shows his surprise that Alex didn't follow him and says he can't figure out why... how stupid is Jay supposed to be?!

He watches these videos and adds the text cards before posting them for us to see, so he's seen the previous entries. Surely, unless he's got the IQ of a brick, he can come up with at least one or two small theories as to why Alex may not have run.

I know he's not shown to be the brightest tool in the box, but I couldn't suspend my disbelief for that comment, and it kind of killed the atmosphere for me a bit at the end there.

Pretty irrelevant, I know, but I felt the need to vent my displeasure.

I'll admit, I'm having a little trouble getting my bearings through this friggin' fishbowl lens... Really, really, really wish I had a layout of Alex's apartment. Is his bedroom door perpendicular to the closet door, or accross from it?

(For anyone wanting to jump in on this, we're talking about 1:39 - 1:44 in entry #44)

Someone else mentioned this as well, earlier in the comments. Definitely not just you. They mentioned that it's the spot the operator is standing in when he's looking in the window - teleport spot, maybe?

Yeah it was mentioned here and there on a few pages back. No one has been able to make sense of it. Not a typical slender-distortion. Someone suggested it might be an editing/rendering artifact.

 		Im pretty sure that it was Alex who walked by the closet (while J was in it)
as mentioned and clarified a few pages back.

Edit:
The two Operator appearances are:
when jay tries to run from the closet, only to see TO staring through the front window.
& when J flashes the light in Alex's face / down the hall.

Good catch. They don't appear to be attached to his belt in 46, so where did they go? If Alex was indeed aware of Jay's presence before finding the flashlight, then maybe he quickly hid them so Jay wouldn't take them (although, I didn't hear any key sounds when Alex re-enters the house).

Personally, I think that when the Operator teleports in, he gives off a blast of Slendy-radiation, which causes the normal video tearing. Maybe that blast travels backwards in time at that spot, sort of a "get out of the way, something's about to teleport here" warning. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we've had a camera pass through the exact spot where the Operator is about to appear before.

 		Okay I think I might be able to help a little.

I made a map of the place and marked certain things on it.



Anyone think it's strange Alex would have a headset with him if he's just hiding out? Who could he be talking to? Or what could he be recording?

Yeah - I posted this earlier - you're definitely not alone there. I also mentioned that it was the spot the Operator teleports to when Jay sees him the first time as others have stated.

It's pretty interesting to say the least - perhaps the visual tearing is an indicator of places that the operator has teleported.

 		When will I learn to stop watching these things at the dead of night. I'm not very smart sometimes.

Like several others, the chronology is throwing me for a loop. I first thought it was going to be a different POV for #45, but dismissed that within a few seconds. Still, perhaps they're related. Could this video come before #45, which perhaps is why Alex gets so pissed when he sees someone outside? Maybe he thinks it's Jay again? Either way, I'm not convinced these last few videos are being presented in their chronological order.

Also I'm still a little confused on the tapes vs. hard drives thing. It seems like the chest cam records to HDD, but is that the only camera that does? That was my assumption, but that would also mean the camera Alex grabbed in #45 was actually a tape (which would seem to be supported by the fiddling he's doing with it before running out the door), which would then mean that Jay was able to piece together footage from two separate sources as being the same event. And this entry - Jay's camera also records to tape right? So he himself may not be sure exactly how this all fits together. Or I'm totally confused, which is always a possibility.

I kinda miss Jay's introductory title cards that at least give us an idea about why he's sharing what he shares or what his thought process is on it.

 		No, that was the Operator. He's clearly wearing black slacks and matching shoes, he takes long silent strides. After Alex catches J, the camera briefly pans down, showing Alex wearing jeans and white tipped sneakers.

 		Jay has no thought process.

He doesn't give us anything beneficial or show us any of his speculation unless its crucial to the audience because him not giving us much to go off of is really just a vehicle to get the audience involved more. Besides his twitter account and totheark, it's the only thing that really makes this an ARG at all.

Yeah I noticed it also, but I'm not sure if very subtle tearing, or if it was caused during the rendering of the video from being that close to the light.
