Because we care and we can talk about it if we want to.
It matters because the order of the entries can explain how certain events happened, of course.


Exactly, and also if 45 is after 46 chronologically, then that would explain the Key not being hung at the door, cuz Jay had already stolen it.

I went back on saw the page in 46 :/ Unless we can somehow prove it's different somehow ( which would be too much work and not worth doing) that pretty much blows my entry order out of the water

That is a good though, especially if you consider if Alex had already been attacked, I doubt he would have left his front door again, even to take out the trash, considering hes paranoid enough to film himself all day.

He says "You lead it right here" though it still doesn't mean that the maskys didn't follow Jay and that's how they knew where Alex was.

 		ignore me if it's already been said but: what if at the end when alex said "what are you doing?!" do you think he could be talking to slendy and not Jay? if so what does that mean?

I have't read that angle on the "what are you doing?", it would be an odd one, can't think of what it could mean other that furthering that him and Slendy are somewhat working together though.

 		HUGE POST ALERT! I hope I didn't make any mistakes, took me quite some time to make Razz

Alright, one last crack at the order of the entries for me

Entry 34 => Jay says the tapes are roughly ordered, but some aren't. He says he will start from the first tape and go on from there (so I guess viewing them in chronological order and uploading those he finds significant)

=> First tape: Jay drives to the abandoned house - Date: 21/04/2010

=> Entry 35: Jay goes back and encounters Tim and Alex - Date: Unknown but close after 34

=> Entry 36: Continuation of Entry 35 - Date: Same day as Entry 35

Tweet: Jay notes that all the tapes he is watching only contains footage of him driving around.

Twitter Jay doesn't remembers his password/it has changed we also get the famous sllee pno.w. Later after that Enttry 37 is posted and jay wakes up at the red tower in his car, when he goes back to his hotel all his stuff is still there => No signifance for our timetable

Entry 38 => Footage of Jay and Alex walking in Rosswood park - Date: Unlabeled so we have no idea, but there has to be a 2nd one that direclty follows to this entry since we see jay replacing this tape with another. The only thing we can go on to know the date is that Alex doesn't has his glasses on.

Entry 39 => Jay is sitting at his car and gets a call from Alex to meet him at Rosswood Park the next day. - date: a week after Entry 35

Entry 40 => Jay goes into the forest and drops his camera after an Operator encounter - Date: The day after Entry 39

Entry 41 => Hoody returns the camera - Date: Same day as entry 40

Entry 42 (We go from the tapes to the hard drive) => Jay says that the files on the hard drive start at the same time as Entry 41. Alex encounters a scared Jay. One that doesn't wants to do anything but go to his hotel for the rest of the day. - Date: Same day as Entries 40 and 41

Entry 43 => Jay and Alex visit Amy's and Jessica house, on the drive back Alex tells Jay he is going to his appartment and asks him to just stay at his hotel and not follow him. The tape cuts to black and we see Alex back at Rosswood where he encounters The Operator - Date: At least a day after Entry 42 (Especially since Alex is wearing different clothes then he wore in 42)

Tweet: Jay is still going trough the files on the HD

Entry 44 => Alex is at his appartement, clearly slendersick. W see him draw a zero with a cross trough it with the word OPERATOR underneath it. At the end of the video Alex gets taken away by the operator - Date: At least a day after 43 because Alex is wearing different clothes, but not too long after 43 because he calls Jessica back.

Entry 45 => Alex gets attacked by the maskies. - Date: About 3 months after the first encounter with Alex.

Entry 46 => Jay breaks in into the apartment of Alex and finds some drawings, we get a glimpse of a drawing that has a crossed out zero on it with a word written Above it, it most likely spells out "OPERATOR", now this could be the same drawing as in Entry 44 but just up side down, however I was unable to get a clear shot of it to see if the letters were upside down. Proven to be the same paper, thanks to Xicon - Date: Unsure. However, Alex is wearing a different clothes than Entry 43 or 44 so not the same day as those entries.

NOENTRY => Well we have no idea where this comes from, but it's taken from someone with both a chestcam and a handheld camera, which could be both Alex or Jay.


Also something else to note, Jay is going through the tapes and the HD at the same time. So there are 2 timelines: one for the tapes and one for the footage on the HD. There has been 2 times where Jay has tweeted about it being hard to keep them straight from each other so I guess that the Entry after that isn't from the same device as it was from before the tweet, however this is just speculation on my part.

To make things even harder there are 3 devices in game atm: Jay's camera, Alex's chestcam and Alex's camera. I think that the footage on the HD = chestcam and tapes = normal camera

Phew, long post is long but here it is: My timeline! (note that the devices are just me guessing)

The missing months

April
Entry 34 (april 21st) Tape from Jay's camera
(time between unknown but can't be too long)
Entry 35 and 36 Tape from Jay's camera

May
Entry 39 (one week after 35 so could be end of April as well) Tape from Jay's camera
Entry 40, 41 and 42 (The next day) Tape from Jay's camera AND Alex's chestcam
Entry 43 (At least one day later) Tape from Jay's camera
Entry 44 (At least a day later) Alex's chestcam And maybe his camera as well, not sure because the fisheye isn't always as clear to see
Entry 44 (After 44) Tape from Jay's camera

June
/

July
Entry 45 (end of July or start of August) Alex's chestcam and his camera

August
/

September
/

October
/

November
On the 23st Entry 27 gets posted and see Jay waking up from a seven month amnesia with a chestcam.

So that leaves Entry 38 and NOENTRY, NOENTRY is probably from the last few months and I'm guessing 38 is before NOENTRY.

 		No no, still not the right one Razz There are 2 "places" where he rests the camera on the drawings, when he pans from the first place to the second one you can briefly see a drawing with nothing but a crossed out zero and letters on it. That's the one I need Razz
