The beginning made me happy after the main game's ending. I want to pretend that's what really happened. Sad Minus the zombies.

Yeah, damn you real ending, WHY YOU HAVE NO UNDEAD?

Sounds like it would be loads of fun to watch Troy, and Jospeh play the game themselves on a livestream.

It would also be cool to add a thieving-like element into the game, for example, at the point in the game where you live in an apartment, you could go and "rob," peoples' apartments for tips (messages from totheark) much like how Jay does this in whatever entry it was he opened Amy's safe.

The mechanics of this game sound like a nightmare to finangle without, like, a triple-A budget. XD

Some of the ideas seem to be for a point and click adventure style game where you investigate stuff. I'd say in that case our model should be the Phoenix Wright games, or more specifically the Miles Edgeworth spinoff. Not in terms of gameplay style, but that you should somehow have to demonstrate that you've figured something out before being able to move on. The types of adventure games where you can't make anything happen because you forgot to take the bottle of glue out of the cupboard are annoying and pointless. It should require you to legitimately figure stuff out, rather than simply gathering evidence.

Has this link already been shared here? Seems like the sort of thing you're all talking about.

The [Blank] Path

Edit Well, at least sort of like it anyway. Razz Obviously not the same tone, but something to take a look at (if you haven't already)

Virtual novels are not video games.

I was going more from the angle of showing you something built on a gaming engine that's being created right now, but all righty then.

I'd honestly say based on their description of how it works (multiple endings, user choices, clearly incorporating an inventory of some sort) it's as much a video game as Zork or any of the early point-and-click adventure games, but there are those who claim those aren't really video games either, so to each his own POV.

Visual novel/text adventure/point and click adventure is probably the only realistic way to do a Marble Hornets game. I could see doing a SLENDER MAN survival horror style game, but if you want to base it on Marble Hornets specifically I don't see it working out too well.

OH HURR. Evil or Very Mad
What I mean is, they feel more like an interactive comic book than a video game to me.

Like I said above, depends on your POV, man. In all honesty, based on what I've seen of the [Blank] Path thing, it seems to be marketed a bit incorrectly (seriously looks more like an adventure game to me) but again, mostly just posting so y'all can see what sort of things are possible / actually being made out there. Don't have to use it, but I wasn't sure if you were all aware of it so that's pretty much it.

Class time nao! Exclamation

This (especially the fact that there has been serious discussion about making it, and that Tim is/may be making one himself as a Source mod) intrigues me greatly. Survival Horror games are like my bread and butter, outside of RPGs, and MH/Slender Man stuff makes me happygiddy, just before it makes me crap my pants in fear, so the fusion of the two... terrorecstasy.

You play as Alex, your only weapon is a rock. You bash people in the face and/or legs. Game of the Year.

If you get 100% completion, you can play as the rock.

Okay guys, we have the concepts down for the game, now we need to work on the sequel.

Marble Hornets 2: Alex's Rock Adventure

And don't forget the child-friendly spinoff: Rocky's Quest for Justice.
