Looks like a pretty good game tbh, it scared the crap outta me a few times.

How do you get scared from this? Maybe the internet has ruined my sense of fear.

The guy playing that game is a tool, if you're gonna watch then video then watch it on mute

It has.

He is. Dat Accent.

You play a level. As you get close to the end, you get increasing visual distortions. You reach the end, find The Operator, & your save files are deleted.

Restart game. Go a different direction this time. Find nonsensical graffiti about an ark. Get treated to a 20 minute series of screen cards narrating how you have no idea what any of that meant.

And that is how a Marble Hornets game would play.

Wow.

Candidate for most annoying voice ever?

Also, say it'll be about five minutes before someone dubs his audio over a MH entry.

idea
idea

Here are my ideas.

-Marble Hornets: The game would feature a real time script system with non-player characters moving around the environment with boundaries in unconventional areas to keep the flow of the town realistic.

-You play as Jay roughly at the beginning of the story with an actual computer you can use to watch entries at any time necessary.

-You get a limited inventory of 1 Camera by Default and the ability to hold improvised melee weapons.

-It will take place in Tuscaloosa with locations such as Rosswood park, the red tower, and Brian's house

-Most missions in the form of "Entrys" with take up a span of the game, with free time in between for exploration

-It will follow the same story, though events such as the paths you take and combat will be entirely up to you. Your actions won't be exactly like the series. You get the agenda and decide your approach on how you take care of things.

-Combat will be a slash/hack style which will require you to punch/stab at the moment when your enemy's defenses are lowered. You cannot kill proxys, only disable them.

-The Operator will slowly teleport to you until you can get to a safe distance away from it's vicinity. Attacking the Operator will result in unconsciousness and transportation to a random part of the town where you will have to start over again.

-Your handheld camera on your HUD will distort when near the operator.

-When not in combat with a proxy, running from the operator is the only option

-Some sequences can get you killed, such as attacking alex while he holds you at gunpoint in 52.

-Going into forest at night or being isolated can result in operator/proxy attacks

-Oh yeah, it would also be FPS.

So those are my ideas. The game would take a span of each 3 seasons, moving to different areas at each with new opportunities for exploration. Even though its unlikely, still a good idea.

Idea: COSTUMES

-Jay will have the Detective outfit which is a brown hoody and brown "detective's hat", and the Rosswood Explorer outfit, which is simply a grey T-shirt with ELBOW CLOSEUPS

-Tim will have the Stalker/Masky outfit, the mask and of course his famous jacket (the mask can be taken off when incognito), and the Actor, which is a yellow and orange T-shirt with nuclear symbol and monkey wielding a gun

-Alex will get the Basement Sacrifice getup, which is a brown country jacket and Jay's hat, and the El Hombre Alto, a black-and-purple hoody that, when taken off, has a different colorful shirt underneath each time (both feature shoes with mismatching laces)

Ideas:

How many of you have seen the game "The Walking Dead"? If you have, you will know that it is a story driven, chapter based journey that tailors itself to the player. Your actions affect the entire game. This is how i think this slender series to go.

It wouldn't be about any series in particular, because theres no way to tailor the game to you if you have to worry about whats cannon and whats not.

Characters and proxies can be based off of MH, TT, EMH, etc. but not them specifically.

Hints can be turned on and off(like in the walking dead)

There will have to be some kind of "only the camera can remember" setup, so say... you complete a mission, fade to black, you wake up say... 8 hours later and you have to piece together what you can from fragments of non distorted footage, which puts in motion another mission/side quest you can choose to complete.

Yeah, ideas, it would be fun to try to make this game Very Happy

I love point and clicks. I'm kind of actually really interested in this since it doesn't seem like it'd be as hard to make a point and click compared to other games. I might have to check out how to make them.

My idea is your Jay, you look at a tape (Short cutscene), you find a clue, it leads you to Brian's house, you go there, you have a battle with Masky. Once Masky is helpless and almost defeated, the finishing blow is trying to take of his mask. You do that, trigger a ctuscene where Masky punches you in the face and you wake up in your car. Of course it's from the perspective of your camera which there's an option to put down. And there'd be more levels than that, that's just an example.

I don't even mean that intense. I'm talking like a monkey island game, or sam and max, with really basic 2d graphics. some guys on here are great at the fanart so maybe they could help.

So I tried playing that slender game. Scary. as. Spit. The shouting swedish man from the video really takes you out of it, but when its just you, it gets intense.

Not to complain too much about your idea, but not sure I would be a fan. There's nothing worse in a videogame than being close to victory, then a cutscene popping up sayling 'lollllnope' at you then railroading the plot off to wherever the developers want it to go.

I think to really capture Marble Hornets, you'd need to be put in Jay's shoes - though not necessarily following his path, if that makes sense (its late). To have the whole of Rosswood Park to explore, and a whole bunch of tapes to be found and watched, but no real prescribed 'route' through it. Just someone tall and creepy to wander into view if you linger too long....

I would really like a game from the operator's point of view! Everything would look grainy and in black and white, sound would be static (ie a totheark video with no escape.) There would be little you could actually do to interact with the world around you, maybe even will ill defined goals. You get the ability to teleport and see through people's cameras whenever the symbol is shown. Then I suppose you get points for stalking and inducing slendersickness without really understanding why. The longer you keep your victims around the better. That would be a very creepy game. A sinister sandbox, if you will.

Edit: Easter egg secret level from the point of view of the various rocks.

I'm kind of working against the purpose of the thread here, but I'm really kind of skeptical that Marble Hornets could work as a game. At the very least, I don't think there's enough information yet to make something good based on it.

Like, I've tried to come up with a game idea to join in on the fun, & I really can't do it. Should it be a hack & slash? Why? There's little to no fighting in the series. A fetch quest? What's the ultimate purpose?
