The "morse code" things. Each file had a name like dot--dot or something. the dashes were trolls. You go to the coordinance on the grid specified by each and treat the dashes as blank spaces and the dots as where to fill in. Viola it works.

I'm honestly so happy to know it was actually solved.

 		oh man, I see it now... We were part way there with the placing of the dots/dashes to their corresponding places on the grid... so close. I guess that's how it always goes with these things though.

excellent! I had a feeling that the grid would be pixel art. So the colors of the "op art" was a distraction? and the directory names was just a way for them to distinguish one "dotdot" from another, nicely done.
