So Jill is an Eliot fan. I like him/her/it already.

There's a spectrograph message in that video, but I'm not all that great at deciphering that sort of stuff yet. The second block of sound looks like 'Told You To Stop' and 'l...isten to me.' Will keep playing with it, but someone else with more experience might have better luck.

Or a fan of the Dark Tower series. As I recall that poem featured heavily in at least a couple of the books.

Here's the first bit of the recording. I can't get it as clear as the second bit, but figured you guys might still be able to get some use out of it. The part on top is the white text below the red text and the part on bottom is the bigger red text. Sped up the audio to get a clearer version of the white text and slowed it down to get the red.

Looks like the same 'I told you to stop' and 'listen to me' from the bit of audio I posted first (the second block of sound in the actual mp3).

And I totally forgot the Dark Tower series used that poem, too. Either way, good taste.

Two questions.

1: Is there a transcript of the words on the screen in the "Bless the Children" video? I know a lot was found analyzing other parts of it but I think the words themselves may be important too and they go by so damn fast.

2: He persistently uses "leafs". Isn't the correct plural "leaves"? It's possible leafs is equally correct (firefox isn't telling me it's misspelled), English is like that, but I've always heard leaves never leafs for the plural of leaf. Should anything be made of this?

"Oh, the torment bred in the race,
the grinding scream of death
and the stroke that hits the vein,
the hemorrhage none can staunch, the grief,
the curse no man can bear.

But there is a cure in the house, and not outside it, no,
not from others but from them,
their bloody strife. We sing to you,
dark gods beneath the earth.

Now hear, you blissful powers underground --
answer the call, send help.
Bless the children, give them triumph now."
— Aeschylus (The Oresteia Trilogy: Agamemnon/The Libation-Bearers/The Furies)

Thanks. The does have some interesting implications but I think we'll need to know more about what "the walking tree" and Jill are up to before that can be fully analyzed.

Edit: Refreshing my memory on the Furies with wikipedia

"In Greek mythology the Erinyes (Ἐρινύες, pl. of Ἐρινύς, Erinys; literally "the angry ones") or Eumenides (Εὐμενίδες, pl. of Εὐμενίς; literally "the gracious ones" but also translated as "Kind-hearted Ones" or "Kindly Ones"), or Furies or Dirae in Roman mythology, were female chthonic deities of vengeance, or supernatural personifications of the anger of the dead. A formulaic oath in the Iliad invokes them as "those who beneath the earth punish whosoever has sworn a false oath".[1] Burkert suggests they are "an embodiment of the act of self-cursing contained in the oath".[2]"

Combined with the Suicide forest very interesting indeed. Slendy has been known to drive folks to suicide before . . . Is Jill a Fury*?

*Not to be confused with a Furry you pervs.

I got a reply:

aHR0cDovL3d3dy55b3V0dWJlLmNvbS93YXRjaD92PWRoQ2lTNGhPa2c4DQoNCnlvdSBvbmx5IGhlbHAgaXQ=

It contains the youtube url and the message "you only help it"

in my email I asked wether or not to send pictures anymore so I'm assuming "you only help it" refers to that

Sending a more blunt email.

"How do the pictures help It? By It do you mean the moving tree?"

I'll let you know if there's a reply. Not sure how much later I'm up tonight so even if the reply comes tonight I may not be able to post it until the afternoon.

Edit: The ad on my Gmail right after I sent that message to Jack . . .

"Tree Jack Stalpen - A Swedish Mechanical tree Jack to use for a safe tree felling"

Oddly appropriate.

Ooh, new post!

So Jack's been talking to a neighbour who's freshly back from Japan. "He was showing me some cool pictures of this one place he went to but I cant pronounce or spell the name." - bets on Aokigahara, anyone?

Also, I thought of an odd theory before (it fits less well with the recent evidence, to feel free to ignore:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What if "Jack" is the bad guy? Maybe whoever's *really* writing the blogs is someone like a slender-minion posing as a 13 y/o boy (may explain the forced spelling errors, and hidden messages). Whoever's sending the videos and base64 messages ("Jill") could be the good guy, telling us that Jack is not who we think, and not to encourage him with more pictures. Well, it made sense in my head this morning!

With all these literary references and some fine interaction aspects, I am so updating my signature.

EDIT: My theory is sort of on the split personality bit. I'm thinking Jack might be a bit older than he projects himself to be and is somehow regressing because of Slendytrauma.

So, I think we all agree now in the stoppage of pictures?

something from the latest line;

AT MORNING
STRIDING
BEHIND YOU

OR YOUR SHADOW
AT EVENING

RISING TO MEET YOU.

"Striding at morning" and "rising to meet you in the evening", It seems strange, but I think this ties in to our Japanese connection, since striding and meeting implies someone trying to catch up to you. Japan is the land of the rising sun. perhaps, this is his way of confirming the belief that this neighbor character attracted Slenderman, and when they went back home, he inadvertently brought ol' tall, dark, and indescribably horrible with them.

We should find out more about this neighbor guy.

That's exactly what I've been thinking/saying this entire time xD

3I think the entire blog story is a front. I am on my phone, so I can't post it for you, but in an email last night, Jack told me that he is part of a group, that they look out for each other.

I think that the blog may be just there to subtly get us looking.

I'm not sure who he's referring to here...perhaps since it's us sending him pictures, he can't see us if we don't send them?

Regardless, this kid knows how to put on a guilt-trip. 'Did I do something wrong?' I feel terrible for not sending pictures right now.

I suspect that 'can't see you' is meaning 'can't contact', like it's too risky, rather than actually not possible.
