First off, is that a Slendy in the "meanpicture"?
Also, in his drawing on this post, there are more numbers behind the figure. Unlike the last one, I can't zoom in to see them all that well.
I can catch maybe a 39, and maybe another 60. Not sure.

We need to ask Jack about those, if he can see them or get us a better picture of the numbers.

Not sure how to contact him since it looks like he's removed some comments from the blog entries. Maybe the regular email.

The one comment from Johnathon Hartford? That was me on accident. I used my ARG character - Johnathon - instead of my own google account on accident. I deleted the post and he removed it, and put up the comment by Daniel.
Sorry for the confusion.

It was my first thought as well.

My first thought when I saw symbols like that was leet speak but I couldn't parse anything out of it and even finding an online leet to English translator only produced.

Admittedly a semi-amusing result since it contains "shat" but I doubt it's whats intended as it leaves a lot of garbage characters.

I think so. Center left. I've never seen burnt trees with curvy branches before.

My "Lots of leaves up top" picture got into the blogpost, I feel kinda special. I took that picture for a project, and that particular image didn't make the cut; I'm glad it got use somewhere

Got an email
ho-lee-crud

I got an email from Jack.

This same email was sent to two others, but for privacy reasons I won't post their email accounts.
What's this look like? Base 64? I'm not too good at recognizing codes by sight.

Okay. The first part, cmVhZCB0aGUgbnVtYmVycw==, is Base 64 and decodes to
read the numbers

The last part, bm90IHdobyB5b3UgdGhpbmsgaGUgaXM=, decodes to
not who you think he is

Me and Pardicolor are currently figuring out the middle in a Mibbit chat. Got it. It was hex. It says the same as the first... 'read the numbers'

Anyone else more familiar with the blog know what this means? "not who you think he is"... Is he referring to Slender Man? Or maybe Jack isn't who we think he is? That's entirely possible - we've not seen any pictures of a 12 year old kid, so this could be just a front...

Also, the writing is too forced-kiddish to be a 12 year old. I was a pretty good typist and had excellent language skills at that age. Not this kiddy crap this guy's writing.

This is no child.

BIG OL' UPDATE I emailed him back. "Who are you really?"
fifteen minutes later: "amFjay4=" which translates to "jack".

Know any 12-year-olds that like to write in Base 64? I don't.

12 year old nerds?

Anyway, if we "read the numbers"

/$
#,
@
%*<
G
A

becomes

/4
3,
2
58<
G
A

If necessary we can further interpret G as 7 and A as 1. Does that help anyone crack it?

GA could also be Georgia. Wheres the kid supposed to be from?

Pehaps these numbers..

Quote:
39 20 37 20

Quote:
31 20 31 35 20 31 31

Thats what I see in them, anyways.

Edit: I didn't see the number under slendy's arm.. It vaguely resembles another space. Saw that after looking over Loreless' post, and double checking the images.

I received the email as well. Sorry, been having a Doctor Who marathon for the past few hours and didn't see it until I read the thread and thought to check my mail.

We also have the numbers that have been appearing on the back of the pictures, if we're supposed to be reading the numbers. Looks like:
31 60 31 35
60 31 31 (First picture, backwards originally, of course)

and

39 60
37 60
31

If it's more hex it translates to 1`15`11 and 9`7`1, though, so I dunno.
Not very well-versed in this puzzle-solving yet.

EDIT: Ignore what I said, I'm an idiot and my numbers are wrong. XD

My first thought was more hex, but that just translates to 9 7 and
1 1511. Not sure what to make of all this.

EDIT EDIT: It does look like there's a fifth number on that second picture in the original version of it, on Slendy's lower torso below the '37 20'. It looks like another 31, but I'm not sure since it's so faint. That would make the shorter set '39 20 37 20 31'. If so, it hex translates to 9 7 1, if that's worth anything.

Spoilers for off topic:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I like trees, do you like trees, if you like trees, say "I like trees"
I like water, do you like water, if you like water, say "I like water"

Nobody likes poison
Nobody likes acid

So keep your poison and your acid out of my water and my trees

Was a short silly song the folk-punk band I was in played, was instantly reminded of it by the topic title/description.

Response to "Read what numbers" or "Did something happen on January 15th, 2011"

I asked the first on instinct, second as a trail on '1 15 11'

(I'm pretty sure it's a response to the first.)
