Sorry, yeah, I was bored at work and was screwing around with photoshop making junk for the wikidot. It's from an old blog post, "Door Update #1" on 8-22-11.

That door is frighteningly foreign-looking compared to the environment.

I hate going back to this, but... how do we know we've been talking to Jack this whole time? We really don't... And the tone between Jack and Serah is nearly identical. Maybe she's been talking to us for ages.

Might I add, Jack is 13.

BlackThir13en.

This is just another random swing in the dark that raises more issues than it solves, by a long stretch, such as who exactly BlackThir13en meant by "You can not save the boy" but...

... BlackThir13en dropping us so many hints implies in my mind that he's not Slendy or his boss/minion... none of his allies. So who is he?

Food for thought:

- Jack and Serah are similar age, from similar walks of life, and share a radical life-changing experience; theoretically, it would make sense for them to sound the same. They may even be likely to mirror each other's mannerisms as a survival mechanism, seeing as they are the last two remaining survivors, and the only chance they have at maintaining a "community".

- If what Jack/Serah tells us is true, then we were talking to Slendyjack for the first few weeks, then Jack Redding the next, then Serah most recently.

- Assuming we can't trust Jack/Serah, the most likely alternative is that the same person has been managing the blog from day 1. Most likely a Slendyminion (Serah, Jack, or a character we've not met), as SM is not the blogging type.

In line with the Dark Tower parallels:

- Jake Chambers, one of the main heroes from The Dark Tower, was also 13 years old when he lost his parents and was drawn through a door to a foreign land/world/dimension. Jake and Jack share quite a few similarities, suggesting a connection beyond mere coincidence.

- Randall Flagg disguised himself as "The Man in Black" in the first book and led Roland through the desert. Flagg appears prominently several different times in the Stephen King multiverse, always as a tall dark ominous figure. He is many thousands of years old, and possesses great and terrible power which he uses to toy with mortal men before leading them to their destruction, very much like a cat with an injured bird. In the Dark Tower series, Flagg acted as both an agent to Black 13, and as a potential master (if he could find and control it, as he sought to do). In our current situation with Jack and Co, there is evidence to support a connection between Flagg and BlackThir13en, or between Flagg and SM himself.

- Minor Dark Tower spoiler:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"You can not save the boy" is a quote from The Dark Tower. Flagg spoke these words to Roland, foretelling Jakes eventual death at the end of the first book. This reinforces the connections of Flagg/BlackThir13en and Jake/Jack.

- Or, disregarding the direct parallels to Dark Tower Characters, BlackThir13en may simply be a worldly entity. This entity could be a person, or a creature, or a split personality. It could be a friend, or it could be in league with SM. So far, it does not appear that B13 has provided any helpful information to the survivors. Assuming the moderator of the B13 twitter page is the same entity who sent the text messages to Jack's phone, then we could argue the messages sent by B13 have been either neutral or sinister in appearance. This could suggest the "neutral" messages are actually carrying an unrecognized sinister intent, or at the very least could suggest B13 is toying with the survivors.

Given the most recent development with Jack I'm also remembering how
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Jake fell and was thought to have died until later in the series when he was pulled through one of the doors. This probably isn't the last we've seen of Jack. Unfortunately this theory would put Serah into Rolands role, and as anyone who read the whole series knows that would make her incredibly boned.

Dark Tower Spoiler
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If I remember correctly, Jake did die. And them pulling him through the door didn't undo that death; it merely added a new chapter to an already written fate. He died, and he lived. Both events happened.

And I think our current set of doors would need to be able to manipulate time as well as space before we could hope to change or undo what recently happened to Jack. All evidence suggests the doors can manipulate space, but not time. We've yet to see a medieval peasant child or a hyper-evolved goo-back adolescent running through the Aokigahara woods.

On the other hand we didn't see Jack die he may still return like Jake did. Possibly even through a door.

The story has to deviate, or else this story would seem predestined and... predictable to some degree.
