Well, I think it's very matrix-like - to finish without finishing. Like art, it leaves itself open to your own interpretation/conclusion.

re Yanka

Not really. The first Matrix movie was a complete story in itself, even if open to interpretations and speculations, while with the second one everyone knew beforehand there was going to be a number 3.
Although contentwise I was quite disappointed with number 3, I still think it had a logical, even if predictable and shallow, ending.
This thing is not properly ended - it's broken in the middle, unexpectedly, and the remaining part which should be there is simply missing. It's not a story in itself.

That is the most bullshit excuse for this lame ending I have ever heard...although I'll give you credit for trying to make it seem okay...lol

Wow Mag - you're entitled to your own opinions, but I have a hard time abiding any criticism of the PMs right now. I thought the ending was cool, and you have to admit the amount of thought and creativity and energy tht was put into this is amazing.

There are people who will stand by the belief 100% that this is not Matrix related. I know it's not Matrix(tm), but I think calling it a Matrix fan fiction game is stating the obvious. But that's just me. I enjoyed this game.

re joebrent

You surely have noticed that I said "with all the respect I have for the work they've put in". Razz

As for the ending - sorry. Maybe I'm too demanding, but I couldn't be farther from being satisfied with it Sad

[EDIT: Post scriptum: perhaps I'm so disappointed becauseof the amount of creativity and the complication of the plot. For a work of this size, this type of ending is simply not enough.]

thanks, darling.

Mag - I don't think M1 really conclusively ended (and I don't chose to enter a matrix debate here) - I mean, I had more questions about it than about any other book/movie ever, I think (I mean - strictly story-wise). M3 left me hanging as well, and I love it.

As far as this game - personally, I feel the same way. I'm glad I can allow myself to think that Scratch is THE ONE, lol. Seriously, though, I understand what you're saying - virtually every aspect of the plot is left up in the air; for example - where is Ethan? Are Averies dead or not? I just think it's cool to allow yourself to conclude it however you would like; but I also understand how many people would prefer exaclty the opposite Smile

re yanka

Concluding however I would like or analysing it however I would like - or rather however I could find arguments for - is what I did writing my MA thesis on contemporary British poetry Laughing Part of my education, you could say.
Whatever is there to be answered in the movie is fine, too - especially that you can really sit for hours on end watching it one after another, including 'Animatrix' and playing 'Enter the Matrix' - with a bunch of firends and discuss possibilities.
For a change - here I expected answers.
Or maybe not even answers. I expected that it would leave me feeling that the whole thing was carefully planned.
As it is, I get the opposite - the feeling that they stopped the game right here simply because it became too much for the PMs themselves and they just had no idea what to do next.
Andf I don't mean any disrespect for the PMs - they are only human, after all Wink
