 		So has anyone brought up that maybe "the twins" are TO and Alex?

Earlier someone had put forward the idea that TO was Alex's 'imaginary friend gone wrong' or some kind of 'thought form' originating from Alex, which would mean (at least the way I'm imagining it) they they both would have been 'born' at the same time, kind of like twins are.

Iunno its all WMG, I just like the idea of them being two sides of the same coin. One being Alex, and the other being an otherworldy nightmare creature that responds to Alex's emotional state.


Also, I think that the eye looks a lot like Tim's, problem is that while the eyebrow does look pretty thick, its not as long as his. Maybe its the difference of angle?

 		During Alex's birthday party, the Operator changes the timestamp on the camera to years going back to the 1900s. Alex has spoke of the Rosswood trials going back farther. The Operator is not just a thought form, or the twin of some kind.

As punxtr mentioned, in one entry Alex began talking about trials where people were hung and burned. This is often thought of to be the origin of slendy, though we have to see the rest of the event to be sure. However, If Slendy is Alex's imaginary friend, how would Jay have seen him? Rather, a more reasonable explanation is the "thought form" you were kinda leading onto. Slendy may exist only if you believe, kinda like freddy krueger. But, if this is true, we have to find who told Alex and Tim, and possibly Brian, about Slendy to begin with.

Good first post though Very Happy It's nice to see new people actually reading other's theories before posting

 		Ouch, a new user, I hope I didn't scare you off! Yeah, there would be inconsistencies with how the Operator exists if he was simply a thought form. I truly think he's been around for centuries, if not forever. An act of nature.

Aside. Does anyone think that other vlogs have jumped the gun using distortion for their slender man? I truly think Troseph named him the Operator because he causes digital and analog interference, to differentiate their slender man from the rest. I feel like other vlogs should have that "one thing" that makes their own slender man unique as well. Red ties in MLAnderson0, et cetera.

I think that The Operator works with the distortion because, well, the name kinda says it. He could be messing with the cameras causing distortion to possibly hide himself from others.
Also with Entry 1 (6 as well, and I believe a few others, I can't really remember) there's no distortion when he looks at Alex while he's recording as well as the other times, kind of bringing up the idea The Operator does it himself. Also shows he could be hiding himself from others, figuring he'd probably show the footage to others.

Ok, I'll bite. Let's use logic, shall we? The image in question with what some *cough*one*cough* believe Slendy to be a "red" tie is unlikely as one of the "twins" as mentioned in TTA's most recent video. The image of Slenderman is on screen for less than a second, and was in fact missed by several people on their first viewing.

It is based on these few milliseconds alone that you've basing your theory that this "red" tied Slendy is a completely different character, and once again, is referred to either further and vaguely by calling him a "twin"? This is incredibly, incredibly unlikely... and not only that, it denotes terrible writing. Involving/including a new character and then referring to him by an obscure nickname shortly thereafter is something an amateur/extremely inexperienced writer would do... and obviously Troy and Joesph have more sense that that...

In addition, while these guys are in the game of "confusing" their audience, they would go to much further extents in order to do so.

In short, "Oi... you're not usin' your brain."

Also... it's incredibly bad form to be so boorish to a more senior members of a forum, many of whom are looking to find an answer just as much as you are... but aren't willing to go to such desperate lengths to find it.


Let the record show that Tao just gave me a logic-boner.

In E1 there is the "teleported" distortion at the beginning however.
I dont think there is much of a specific pattern to the distortion, and that is more of a "Slendy is here! cameras fuck up!" kinda thing.

I also see ppl mentioning an event with masky that causes the camera to distort.. though i cant find the actual Entry reference. It must have been posted somewhere and i missed it. could someone point it out? I find that to be strange (masky distortion)

are we sure that the distortion is caused my tim in this entry tho?
Everything is fine, Alex shows up, obvious distortion starts when J begings closing in on the doorway to small room. Tim jumps out, distortion gets worse.

Looking at this from a "alex & Slendy are friends" point of view, maybe slendy was there that day?

not concrete thinking incoming:
J is searching, tim is hiding.
Alex shows up with slendy in tow.
Alex already knows tim is there.(how?) Slendy teleports behind Tim, Tim freaks out, runs out, and right into J.
Tim seems to act unreasonable, and scared, not becuase of alex & j, but because he just saw Slendy and wants out.

 		Was Alex in the hotel with Jessica? No, but the shadow thing happened again. The Operator may have taken Jessica and scared off Tim.

Problem is, Tim didn't run in fear. Honestly, I think Tim teleported and Tim gives off Operator BO.

how did alex know he was there then? well I guess in some theories, it would make sense for alex to know about teleporting closets.. (as some even think the on in 46 at his house is such a closet (bone etc)

but 35 is strange.. if tim is already there, why?
if he teleports to attack, how does he know j and/or alex is there?
how does alex know tim is there? if tim teleported or not.

anyways sorry for bringing up an old entry.. just bored while waiting for new stuff.

Jay is editing these videos to include his typed intros/outros, maybe we learn that he has been fucking with the videos alot more than we thought?
This whole time J has been manipulating the viewer. This could explain the slendy appearance in Entry 45 which seems to be a superimpossed slendy from a previous entry.
so in short, J has made most of this up, and cuts in/out the videos when he wishes.
