Here's a picture of the instrument I mention:

Woah, that thing's HUGE! What kind of sound does it make?
*Badum-ching!*
Thanks, I'll be here all week. Anybody here from out of town?

I am going to be in NYC on the 12th...oh wait, I live here. Is St. Peter's the church inside the Citicorp building? Do I win a prize if I'm the only audience member?
Where is that red lighthouse in the 2nd pic, is that Fort Tryon Park? That looks like either The Bronx or Jersey across the river.
[EDIT]I just realized I was looking for clues in that pic...it's a sickness [/EDIT]

Yep, that's the one. Enter from the 54th Street side, take the elevator down two floors to the York, and dig those crazy tunes.

That's Fort Washington Park, and the Little Red Lighthouse (the same one from the children's book), right behind my apartment off 181st Street. Close, though, and you were right about Jersey in the background, the Palisades to be specific. Lovely little area, and 15 minutes from midtown if you catch the A train just right.

Ok, let's try this one more time.
How about the weekend of April 30th? I'll be in New York until Monday (May 3rd), and any time/place is basically good for me. That is more than a month away, and tickets can still be found cheap...

Unless something comes up, I'll be there.
I'd really prefer Saturday or Sunday, but it's somewhat flexible. Place and time of the day doesn't really matter.

Just make sure you guys all take plenty of pictures of the meet. Preferably ones where you are standing underneath giant subway signs that are blinking "WAKE UP" in Morse Code.

Apparently, first we'd have to find a flickering "wake up" sign in the subway
But seriously, though - anything you guys come up with (I mainly mean bagsbee and joe) is going to be good for me. There is still a whole month to decide something; but should it be a day thing since Anthrax and Omnie will have to come from a long way?

I'm not going to be that far away. I'm right across the river, just a PATH train ride away.

Sunny, you are a trip.
Do ya wanna do the tourist-y stuff (Statue of Liberty, etc)? Cultural stuff (museums, music, etc)? Gastronomical stuff (there is no type of cuisine you can't get)? Or just some flat-out drinkering (bar-hopping in Greenwich Village is always a hoot)?
rose, will you be partaking in the festivities as well?
