I personally think the sound you're suggesting is WAY too low to be relevant, let alone coherent... You could be on to something, though. Additionally, the female in the back has to be either Amy or Sarah... perhaps Alex was on the phone, and there actually isn't someone in the back. However, this is very unlikely due to Brian's thumb pointing towards the back seat when referring to "her."

I do get the feeling it's the girl Brian was referring to. Said girl seems to have a significant role in things, seeing how she isn't even visible or properly audible for the whole entry yet is still mentioned.

To me it sounds like "Follow me... (inaudible) me." Is it possible to isolate certain frequencies of sound so that we can cut out most of Brian's voice? We can probably get a little more about the context of the conversations based on what is said by the different characters. Whomever mystery girl is, she's barely audible, so she's not in the car. There are no reflections of her anywhere, so she's not obviously nearby. Alex had to give her some instructions, so she must have been part of the crew.

Was she a second camera person? This would make sure one camera was always on Alex, so that Alex could use his camera to make Marble Hornets. We already know he had at least two cameras back in those days. At this point in the chronology Alex is savvy enough to notice the operator and to avoid it, so he must be in the habit of constantly filming himself. However, either he keeps stopping and starting his camera, or for some reason Jay is editing the footage he uploads. It doesn't make sense that Jay would edit the footage this way unless he wanted to hide something. (Why remove footage that would help him identify this mystery girl?)

For that reason I think that the mystery girl is a second camera person with Alex's second camera outside the car, and that she must be out of frame so that Alex can film the scene with Brian. Either Alex made up some excuse to keep her filming, or she was savvy enough to know what was going on with the operator at the time. Given that Tim ended up with his tapes, it would make sense that mystery girl's tapes would not end up with Alex either. Given that Alex notices the operator in real time he didn't need the tape from mystery girl's camera at all (so didn't make an effort to get them from her), and he presumably drove off without her. What a douche. This could have been the demise of Sarah.

(Mystery girl is probably Sarah, but I'm not a Sarah conspiracy theorist.)

It would be really cool if a) Alex added the audible distortion at the end to hide Brian saying "Hey, what about Sarah? Are you just going to leave her behind?" and/or b) mystery girl is Jessica.

I hear what you're talking about, however I'm not too sure about whether that's supposed to be a coherent message. Also, since this is a S1 entry it's sort of hard to tell if this was actually supposed to be important or not. It is kind of interesting that "she" (whoever she is) was mentioned though, despite us not being able to see her.
