You know, that was the last thing I meant to mention. Alex takes an hour to catch up with Jay. ...wait, he drives there. Dammit, I was going to make a teleportation theory, but that doesn't work.

Still, I can't believe Jay could be so easily tracked. I mean, if I were Jay I'd be doing the above. Full on peel out from wherever I parked, and drive until I felt reasonably far away. Maybe he really did just run back to his car and fall unconscious. Jay's (and other people's) encounters do appear to result in terror -> flight -> unconsciousness.

OOG they only had a week to record this and two other entries for some reason.

So I guess this means we'll be seeing more of Jessica in the next entries.

Maybe they planned to meet, Jay and Alex would both be wanting some answers from each other after what happened in 46.

I don't think anyone else is in the car. He does keep looking towards the camera/slightly off camera, but the camera is completely still probably on a tripod.

It looks like he's leaning really far forward because the camera is tilted at an angle towards the back of the car.

I dunno, I wish he wouldn't post these when I'm drunk.

I wish they wouldn't be posted when I'm sober.

Also, about the distortion in Alex's and Jessica's voices: I think in this entry it's safe to assume that Alex's distortion is a symptom of either his cooperation with our dear SlenderFriend. Jessica on the other hand strikes me as being a victim, and the reason for the distortions with her was TO had latched onto her, hence the banging sounds and such from the other room. This, along with my previous theory about a future alliance between TTA and Jay, would explain why Tim showed up and chased Jay out of the hotel, get the last whole survivor away from the pit of dispair.

Then again, I'm likely grasping at straws.

Or Tim as well, he left for a vacation once filming was done...

Random Speculation: I almost want Jessica to call Jay and have her say she checked up on Alex. If she's a go getter, she might try to figure out on her own what exactly happened to Amy. She could call Jay for help.

That was so awesome it dragged me out of my lurker haze.

I love how even if there were the occasional cheesy moments, the argument that they had felt relatively realistic... at least in terms of tone of voice and such. Very Happy That was cool! (And lol, "Jay and Alex have never before seemed more like a fighting gay couple." Actually... kind of, yeah, maybe.)

I literally did a small dance of glee when Jay threw Alex's keys into his car and locked the door. That may have been the first smart thing that we've seen him do in this entire series! I like that he's turning out to be basically a good guy who seems to be blaming himself for all of this shit, when it's more likely that he's just making some bad decisions whilst surrounding himself with some really bad guys. I guess they could face-heel turn the character and have him wind up being the worst of them all, but I hope that doesn't happen. XD I'm enjoying seeing him being unusually clever and generally good.

I'm enjoying the direction of this. I'm curious to see if my really early prediction for the course of the story continues to stick relatively closely to what actually happens -- it's neat that Jay and Alex have sort of been working together (if incoherently at best!) and now they're having a falling out. I'm hoping that we get to see what happens with Tim some time soon... the buildup of questions about there being two maskies, and who the second is (or more, as I know there are some people who believe that there are more'n one), and why there are two, and what the heck is going on in a general sense is really neat, so I'm definitely looking forward to another big revelation on that front.

It would be nice to see a bit more about what is happening in the present, though. This is a really long exposition for Jay to be car surfing and posting things from the past... and TTA has become really complacent in the last few months. In the first season, he was quite aggressive about the ark, and puppet-mastering Jay around into more trouble. This season, TTA has not made a single mention of the ark (unless I have missed something?) He has instead only been taunting Jay, "did you see this!? Did you know that?! You're a dork! Everything is stupid!" and it feels kind of curiously a let down for me. It makes sense if TTA is Tim and Tim, post rock-smash, has not been making quite the same effort. I suppose it also fits if TTA was taken over by a different person...

but why is he still involved if he is throwing out only impotent threats and lackadaisical questions? "I'm'a get you... but I'm lazy and tired. Instead, have a scary video with noises and dolls and starry eyes."

S'also weird that Jessica wound up with nothing really to say at the end of their conversation in this entry. I think that if it were me there would be some serious, "wait, so you're saying you're going to look into it and get back to me? Who are you again? What's your number? Have you called the cops yet?" She seemed to have really trailed off towards the end, which was really odd to me. It was kind of neat to see the super awkward conversation continue. Watching Jay agonize about being socially normal is kind of sadistically hilarious... not sure if that is what they were going for, though.

I don't know, I'm just stoked! I've been enjoying the entries so much lately. This is a stamp of approval and they can has it!

I find it very interesting that Alex mentions that he didn't "have any psychopaths wearing masks" following him or people breaking into his house before Jay came around. This sort of sounds like maybe Masky and Co. are connected to Jay. As much as I would like to think that Alex is in on it, I am starting to think that Jay has a lot more to do wtih Masky(s) then he is letting on.

This is odd, isn't there a skully-mask in #26 that came from footage found in a tape in Alex's closet? And Alex is a proven liar...

FossilizedSauce wrote:
Maybe the Masks followed Jay to find out where Alex was? I think that was a pretty popular theory as to why Jay was being tailed. Now that they know where he is... I don't know, do they want Alex dead? Tim looked ready to kill in 45.

Wait wait wait, when did folks start believing that there was more than one Masky after Jay in season one? (Oh right, I haven't been following this forum in eons. XD Silly me.)

thecodeman wrote:
What people have to take into consideration is that, obviously, Jay's safe code is Jessica's number. But when he found the slip of paper with the code, the zero was the operator symbol. So, unless Jay got all Masky you have to think that whoever wrote it was in cahoots with the Operator, and knew the code to the safe.

Okay, so Alex and TTA are the only ones that we know for sure can't kern their x's and o's... so I don't think that this entry really helps sway us to one side or the other, assuming that TTA and Alex are not the same person. Alex and TTA do not seem to be in cahoots, given that TTA has made some pretty disparaging remarks about Alex. TTA and the Operator are arguably not in cahoots, going on the theory that TTA == Masky == Tim, who is against Alex enough to try to knife him.

What we do know is that, at this point in what's been revealed, the only people who know that number are Jessica, Jay and Alex; Alex is the only one who writes that symbol of the three, so he probably was the one to have dropped the code. But at the same time, we are seeing hints of weird things with Masky/Tim/Hoodie/whatthefuckisevengoingonhere... we may be missing a chunk that allows us to know that Tim/Masky/TTA also find out about Jessica's number and that it could be him/them that give Jay the code.

Blah blah blah, the theories, they do nussink!

ALEXGORDON wrote:
2.) Because of this, I think this further proves the theory that Alex lying to Jessica a few entries back was him attempting to protect her. Jay brought The Operator in Jessica's life, and thus Jay indirectly caused her disappearance.

Hey now, to be fair we have not seen the Operator show up around Jay unless Jay goes deep into his territory. The only times where Jay seems to encounter him directly seem to be when he goes back to the house for the third time, and when he wanders miles and miles into the woods.

We do see Jay suffering slendy-symptoms like lack of sleep and hypno-traipsing through warp-doors... but we don't every see the Operator blatantly stalking Jay the same way that we do with Alex. I think that it is more likely that Alex is trying to protect himself from further questions, OR that he really has no idea what is happening, via memory loss, and that he told Jessica that things were dandy under the influence of Slendy-powers... which suggests greater finesse on the Operator's part than I would have expected, but okay whatever. I think that if anybody brought the Operator into Jessica's life, it was Alex, and Jay has once again just stumbled into a bee-shitting ant hive of terror that he's going to blame himself over.

7.) I wish we had answers to this, but why does Alex and Jessica continuously have distortion in their voices? Clearly something like this isn't supposed to go unnoticed. The vast majority of the time Jessica spoke, there was distortion in the audio, just as there is with Alex in recent entries. I are confused.

Re: 6) Yeah, you're right actually. I had assumed that Alex drove after him or something, but if that's right in front of the house, what the fuck, Jay?

Re: 7) We've seen more distortion in all of their voices this season. Whenever there's been heightened emotions, they seem to fuzz up. I get the feeling that it's an artistic cue to show how frayed their psyches are and how much they've been affected by the phenomena engulfing them. It could also be that the Operator's MO is to leave his victims so emotionally durped that they produce delicious anger and misery that he feeds off of, only sounding less cheesy than that, and that that's an audio representation of how the characters are being fed from?

eta x a billion: SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS LET ME POST PLEASE I WANT TO GO TO BE TONIGHT SOME TIME! Very Happy

eta one billion and one: Thank fucking god. That took me half an hour to try to get through. I hate you all for your one-word post-hogging!

I had a similar thought, but she contacts Alex and he spins things negativity towards Jay.

I think that hinges on whether or not Jay was unconscious at the beginning of the video or if he was just uncomfortable with the impending confrontation. He doesn't seem to be surprised that Alex shows up, so that supports your theory.

Wow! the tread is moving fast!

quickly... last noght i was hearing again the interview that Troseph had at the end of season one... an one of the complaints that they heard a lot it was that there was no character development in season 1...

Now im hearing a lot of complaints about that this entry didn't have action... but ladies, gentlemen and trollz.. this entry was full of character development!

so don't complaint Troseph is listening to us!

by the way i love the argument and the involuntary humor!!!

Yeah, I was thinking uncomfortable, due to Jay (real time) not saying "For some reason I'm unconscious in my car"

You know what, screw you, you are the reason that I was not able to post for half an hour straight, looking back and seeing all of those one-liner posts you threw up! Do me a favour and take a few minutes to compose a longer, single post instead of ten quadrillion little ones, huh?

In other news, hello! Please comment back!
