I want to post that my new favorite moment in the series is...

"You should put those in your pocket from now on."

Unintentional comedy gold is golden.

*craps pants for 7 min entry*

Alex is a liar

Nothing else happens*

BULL SHIT!

I'll read the topic tomorrow. Hopefully there was a hidden Operator or something. Crap entry otherwise.

Maybe they planned to meet, Jay and Alex would both be wanting some answers from each other after what happened in 46.

I think that hinges on whether or not Jay was unconscious at the beginning of the video or if he was just uncomfortable with the impending confrontation. He doesn't seem to be surprised that Alex shows up, so that supports your theory.

No, I don't think they made any plan. I'm sure Jay didn't look surprised since somehow Alex is always able to find him. He's was like, "oh great, of course you're here". Jay probably didn't want to think anything was wrong/sinister about Alex showing up, but he obviously wasn't going to discount the idea either.

So, yeah. Jay begrudgingly got out of the car, and then it was all #werebreakingup

Also: did anyone else expect Alex to freaking bust the window open with a tire iron?

Or a rock, yeah, I can hear you saying it already.

I honestly doubt it was unintentional, Jay in the past has been a smartass, he was taking his leaving jab at Alex. Not knowing he would have to (possibly) confront him again.

I just realized something... Slendy isn't in this one cuz he got a job and no longer needs to ask for $20...
Sorry, somebody had to reference it sometime.

From the moment Alex showed up I was holding my breath waiting for him to just effing start wailing on Jay. Dude was mad; putting out some serious mad vibes.

I have to wonder why Jay had to go and tell Jessica "o don't worry everything's under control"? Come on man, you're not that naive. Was he trying to do the honorable thing and keep Jessica out of the Slender shenanigans? Are we maybe going to see Jessica taking some prerogative to investigate under her own steam in the next few entries? For all we know, she had caller ID and took note of Jay's number, and she did seem like a pretty assertive lass back in the hotel.

(Man, I hope she's okay in realtime... :c )

Neutral No, no somebody certainly didn't.

...and on that note, welcome to the forum!

I liked the entry and I think it has a lot more important exposition than some people realize.
All I have at the moment is about the conversation with Jessica: I get the feeling that the reason for their memories being erased was them actively trying to find Amy. Jay and Jessica both know she's still missing at the end of this entry and there's the possibility that they decide to search for her on their own...and then the Operator..."This will not do."

Hey, general lurker here. Here's my left-field theory. I'm starting to think Jay is going crazy. Between Jay breaking into Alex's house and being the only one to see Slendy, and randomly passing out at times.

Let's take Slendy's supernatural nature out of the equation. Jay breaks into Alex's house, then hides from him, then gets randomly freaked out about something behind Alex, and runs out the door.

Jay has a mental condition. That's my theory.

Sorry, couldn't help but insert a little silliness when theories are giving me a headache. Thanks for the welcome Smile

Jay's camera has mental conditions in this theory too, right?

Oh yeah, last point before I go to bed: God damn, Jay is the worst liar in the whole damned universe.

JAY: You seen Amy?
JESS: Isn't she with Alex?
JAY: WTF? He said she's totally threatened by a horrible monster and disappeared months ago.
JESS: Shocked
JAY: Er... I mean that Alex didn't mention finding her. But he must have... Um. At the Malt Shop.
JESS: Neutral
JAY: So she's fine! No need to worry! But, uh, don't listen to Alex or answer the phone. Or, really, don't leave the house. Just in case.
JESS: Crying or Very sad
JAY: In case of bird flu!! Ha-ha! Big joke! Um. Bye.

Christ, I thought Alex running towards the car at the beginning was the Operator. His forearms are really skinny.

Anyway, not much happened, but I'm glad to hear from Jessica again. It's been too long. And I find it weird that Jay and Jessica's minds were warped, and they're the (presumably) only ones that know about Amy. Something's up.

The acting in this entry was really good too. Jay has improved so much.

O_O Forgive me for trout, but I haven't seen any reference to this in the past few pages as I've been poking through... Do other folks think that perhaps there is some mind erasure going on between Jay and Alex? It's as if they aren't aware that they were this close to the Operator shortly ago. Now they're arguing over busting into houses and masked guys chasing folks around a while ago, but no mention of "oh hey, and then the Operator showed up as soon as you did!"

...Or was Alex trying to refer to the Operator as a masked guy? One would think that they'd be past the stage of believing that the Operator was just a guy in a thick pile of pantyhose at this point, though...

The only thing that bothered me about this entry was Jay was doing so good. He was smart enough to check the number, he asked the right questions, even got some info on Amy. So why the hell didn't he take the god damn tape? With Alex waving it in his face it would be pretty obvious that it has something on it and Alex doesn't want people to see. So when Jay throws Alex's keys to the ground why not grab the tape from Alex's back pocket and get out of there?

I think Jay made oblique reference to the Operator's presence, getting all "how did you get out of your house?!", but that Alex had either been mindwiped of the event or was just being really sketchy and evasive.

On that note, chalk this entry and all its revelations up on the "Alex is a huge asshole" board. It just screams to me that he had no intention ever of finding Amy because he knows where she is -- so very, very dead. He's been keeping Jay, who is otherwise gung-ho about investimagating, in limbo, and has just straight up been keeping Jessica, as Amy's roommate and (likely) friend, totally out of the loop. He played both of them. Maybe to buy himself some time to come up with a good cover story for Amy's missing-ness, or... oh god, I don't know, his motives seem really fuzzy to me. But he's a bad dude, either because he's nefarious on his own or because he's now under the Operator's control. Either way.
