I hope we at least find out what the key is for before the break. I've been waiting to find out since entry 28, dammit!

My best guess would be that it opens up Amy/Alex's old apartment, and Jay will investigate it with Jessica. That at least will give them a real reason to start working together. Jay will ask her about the key, she'll open up the apartment for him, and the two of them will see something shocking, resulting in a "we're in this together" moment.

On a less Slendy-meme-ish note, citing the evidence that Alex to Jessica he found Amy already, I'm banking on the idea that he is holding her captive so she doesn't go call the police on tall, dark, and slendy.

I suppose Entry #38 shows us that Alex and Jay aren't going to be split apart after the events of #47, but I seriously can't believe we haven't made it to the point in time that #38 is in, yet.

My theory: Entry 38 is Alex leading Jay to the infamous blood tunnel where a well-planned tarp commences to try and take Jay out once and for all. However, it backfires or doesn't work for some reason, possibly one of the Maskies sacrificing himself to save Jay.

Jay wakes up in hotel, Tim attacks him because the other Masky was keeping his animalistic nature in check. Jay realizes it's time for serious shit and finding Jessica, stopping Alex, and Slenderman, and takes on the role of Masky(aka totheark).

totheark videos will become stuff that Masky filmed and we must decode to help Jay out, to figure out what Masky knew.

Masky is probably Brian but that's up in the air.

I'm still reading through the pages but I mention in the TTA Classified thread that "[][]" reminded me of J and Jessica's hotel rooms. I'm really starting to think they're the twins after this entry.

Also, has J ever shut the camera off? I can't recall a single time he willingly shut the camera off.

Hi long time lurker here and even longer time MH fan!

I skimmed through everything and I'm not really sure if anyone mentioned this, but does anyone find it odd that Jay didn't give us a heads-up on the entry being posted? And he hasn't mentioned anything about the Classified TTA response. I looked through Jay's twitter and it's the first time he's ever posted anything without telling us beforehand. Besides the hijacked/sleep walking entries. Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

LOVED the exposition-only thing, and yay for Jay's new balls and brains! A couple of thoughts...

- I've seen several suggestions that the key may be for Jessica's hotel room. In Entry 30, we clearly see Jay use a key card to get into his room. So no dice there ^[1] .

- I definitely don't see Slendy anywhere in this entry-- and I'm happy with that, as it's unnecessary here. I saw the "OS shadow" mentioned a few pages back, but I dismissed it as pavement discoloration.

- However, can someone tell me what the buzz at 5:19 is? The low hum at 5:54-59 is a passing car, right? There seem to be minor white-noise fluctuations throughout the phone call, so maybe the buzz is explained by that.

- I find it interesting that, when talking about his obstacles in finding Amy, Alex DOES NOT MENTION ol' Tall Dark And. True, he was listing problems related to Jay, and we know (and Jay knows) that Slendy showed up in Alex's new life before Alex brought Jay on to help. But man, I have to wonder Alex slipped up there and exposed the fact that he doesn't see Slendy as a bad guy anymore. If so, WTF does he think happened to Amy? And who would be responsible?

- This isn't a new question by any means, but... Why did Alex bring Jay in anyway? What kind of help did he think Jay had to offer?! He's been super-evasive, giving Jay nothing to go on (I cheered when pissed-off Jay confronted Alex about that, BTW). If he wanted Jay as a sacrifice, or he wanted to find the Maskies via Jay, why is he so freakin' insistent that Jay stay away from his apartment? Alex has been all "Oh I need your help, but stay the hell away from me and do nothing." Did he learn something new between the time he sent Jay the Amy tape and when Jay actually showed up, or did he realize after Jay showed up that he jumped the gun? Gah. The circles, they circle.



^[1] Plus, this entry seems to suggest that Jay and Jessica team up later. It makes more sense to me that they both check into the hotel together after they team up. So why would Alex have a hotel key now, if they weren't checked into the hotel yet? To me, the bigger question is, where is Jessica staying at the time of this entry? Her and Amy's house? When did she get kicked out, where did she get kicked out from, and who was she talking to on the phone in Entry 30? This question keeps nagging me: Who the hell kicked her out, and from where?

There is a very low bass frequency played for a bit when Jay is on the phone to Jessica, I think when he says "Don't worry, we'll find her" which isn't present at all otherwise in the entry.
