 		it makes you think, if tim was with jay in return then why didn't he run? in entry 15 when jay and tim are talking and jay brings up slendy tim starts fidgiting like crazy, showing that tim was scared of him. in entry 45 tim runs away from slendy the second he appears... it doesn't strike me as being tim in return

 		^ I've debated this before, and someone gave a decent explanation of how TTA is helping Jay, even though his "helping" is rather crude and cryptic. So, even if Tim was part of TTA, he would still do what he can to protect Jay from the operator, but still chase him around to guide him in the direction TTA wants Jay to follow.

The only problem with this though is why would Tim have Jay followed him around teleporting into the basement of DOOM.

I understand the point you're making here. However:

Tim could have been fidgeting for any number of reasons pertaining to the Marble Hornets shoot, not necessarily out of fear of The Operator. If the popular theory that Tim's pills make him invulnerable to the mind-wipe aspect of Slendy-sickness are true, then who knows what sort of awful things he remembers.

There was also, I believe, an offhand statement made by either Troy, Joseph, or Tim to the effect that the fidgeting in Entry #15 wasn't planned, it's just something Tim does sometimes. That doesn't immediately negate its importance, however, since they chose to leave it as is.


We don't know for certain why Tim and Hoody bolted at the end of Entry #45. The image of The Operator that flashes at the very last second isn't even one that, logically speaking, should have been able to appear on Alex's camera, which is probably the creepiest thing about that Entry. I'm not saying it's impossible, or even highly improbable, just that it isn't a fact either.

It makes the most sense for the person in the hallway in Return to have been Tim, from a narrative standpoint, since in the time period immediately before this (Entry #19) we see him vanishing along with Jay. We also know that at the time of the video, Tim appeared to be the only person living in Brian's house. We also have some evidence that Tim has a camera of his own, as seen in Addition.

Tim did try to give Jay a mask of his own in that Entry. It's not Tim's fault Jay never listens to him.
