 		I wonder what was on that tape Alex was holding. Who knows, may be the continuation to Entry 12. Jay always said whatever happened immediately after that was very important, though he had yet to find the matching tape that contained that particular peice of footage (The clip immediately following the "Hey, buddy..." bit)

I always thought the mask was a way of taunting him, but this. This makes so much sense. My mind was blown as well.

I thought Tim just left his mask there to do stuff on some random day due to Jay time traveling through the doors.

Although offering Jay a mask would make more sense, yeah.

Ive actually always sort of had this theory. i mean masky wouldn't just leave a mask behind, i mean he was obviously wearing it for a reason, and noticed how tim completely disappeared after leaving the mask hanging. i just wonder what purpose the mask actually serves.


and @ultrassjstuart, where did jay say that the continuation to entry 12 was really important? i'd also really like to know what is actually on the tape. probably something alex desperately wanted to hide seeing he yelled at jay for trying to take it. must be also important enough for alex to keep himself

Or it could be something that would exonerate Alex and prove he was doing the right thing all along, but he's so angry and hurt by Jay at that point he's like 'Fuck it, you don't deserve to know what I've been doing.'

Or it could have been absolutely nothing of importance and Alex could have brought it just to taunt Jay for barking up the wrong tree.

That's how I took it. A sort of a play on how so many Slender-series (MH included) have a scene where the lead character just goes OMG THE FIRST THING I SEE IS IMPORTANT! AND LOOK-- IT REALLY IS!

A user named DaveFlamerock enquired about this and Jay responded as follows:
"Hello Dav. I have been asked this question numerous times already even though entry 12 has only been up for a few hours now. I should have made it more clear within the entry, I apologize.

Anyway, yes, what happens after that clip is VERY important. Unfortunately, the girl operating the camera at the time stopped recording as Alex walked on screen. There was a little bit of time left on the tape (around 4 or 5 minutes) after this clip, but it's blank. I'm not sure if Alex changed tapes early or not, because I have yet to find another tape that "matches" with this clip. It's frustrating to say the least.

 		Jay should really spend less time trying to find tapes. He has enough of those. He should really look for that bullet casing that was misplaced. Or taken.

This has always confused me. Why does everyone, J included, say that it's a girl operating the camera in that entry? Alex says at 0:17 that Seth is controlling the camera. The girl's voice seems to imply otherwise, but it doesn't make any sense to me.

...Unless they had two cameras, but we didn't see any evidence of that in any other raw MH footage.

 		Could be that since we hear a girl's voice (Sarah?) in that entry close to the camera, that he assumes she's the one holding it?

It could be that when Alex says that 'let's get Seth to control it' he wants Seth to be controlling the camera (or editing after the fact? I dunno!) At about 0:33 he tells the camera operator to follow them across the frame and a girl's voice responds... so that's probably why they assume a gal's behind it.

 		It could be Sarah, I suppose. But I do think what happened the instant after that entry ended is indeed extremely important. Excluding any encounter Alex may have had with the operator as a child, this is believed to be the first actual encounter with him chronologically

 		If Alex reacted in any way similar to what we saw in #43 and #44, it could be that this was an (or even the) event where everyone (save perhaps Jay? He's the only one we don't see confirmed as being with the group at the time) in the crew actually saw not only Alex's reaction to the Operator's control, but witnessed what the Operator is capable of, themselves.

How they reacted to that (if they were able to do anything other than what we've seen with the memory blanking and showing up elsewhere, later) would definitely be especially important.

Oooh, I hope that there is some reference to #12 later on down the road. That would be really rad!
