Finale is likely to be, in some form or another, the "full story" of Alex and Jay's meeting the day after 49. If that meeting is 38, then we get the continuation of it. If it's not, we get an entirely new day of footage.

It's possible that Jay will, like always, conveniently stumble across the footage at the most dramatic possible moment. However, what seems more likely is that Jay doesn't HAVE this footage. The finale may in fact be the TTA response to 49, in which TTA shows that HE has the missing footage.

Here's how I think the future entries will go...

Entry #50: The continuation of Entry #38, perhaps bridging it to Entry #29. In this entry, Jay manages to steal Alex's chest cam and maybe figures out the contents of the satchel (which I believe is Alex's flash drive).

Entry #51: A continuation of Entry #29 using the other camera Jay was carrying; the chest cam apparently malfunctioned upon sight of the Operator, causing the end of Entry #29. Jay attempts to flee, but the Operator catches him somehow (maybe by teleporting him into an enclosed space like in Entry #23?). The same thing happened to the suspicious Jessica who probably decided to go investigate. From that point, the Operator wipes their minds and possibly taints Jessica's memories. Timasky locks Jay's tapes and Alex's flash drive in a safe to allow Jay and Jessica to be able to see what's on it once they successfully ally. They wake up in the hotel about a week later (that's how long the Tweetpocalypse knocked Jay out). Cue Entry #27.

Entry #52: Present time entry, bringing the season to a close with a cliffhanger for the next season. I have no idea what this could be at this point.

The big problem that a present-day entry from Jay has is the fact that it's being uploaded runs the risk of losing the cliffhanger element.

Purely for example.... the final video of this run ends in the present with Slendy bearing down on Jay, as he struggles to run through Rosswood. Cuts to a sea of distortion. Which is a great cliffhanger, except for the fact that the in-game youtube chanel means the series actually ends with Jay escaping the Operator, then getting to somewhere with internet access then twiddling his fingers while aforementioned dramatic video uploads. Which isn't very cliffhanger-y at all.

#26 did a good job at ending with an uncertain future for Jay, and threw us a big hook for the focus of the second series (essentially, what happened after the Operator caught up with Alex and his new life?) I can't see MH repeating the same type of ending though, if just because it would seem too formulaic.

I wonder if maybe the end of S2 might entail a re-shift of format - perhaps TTA finally comes out of the woodwork enough to change the pattern of replies. Maybe even a Jay-TTA teamup (if it hasn't already happened?) could see us losing one channel.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
One of Jay's black cards saying - "This is the last entry you will see me post. For those of you who wish to follow me to the end, keep watching ToTheArk. They'll be following, and I trust them to show you what happens."

Who knows. Could happen....

It could be that TTA simply uploads the last entry with something like what you described happening, followed by some classical TTA cryptic messages.

I just noticed this in Entry #27:

The phone on Jay's nightstand is off the hook. Jay walked over there after peeking through the curtain and before turning on the lamp, so it's not like he just made a call in-between shots.

This probably means that whatever wiped Jay's memory came through the phone, given that it's right next to the bed.

OR

Someone called him on the phone and told him to turn on the TV (which is why the TV was on too), and whatever was on the TV wiped his memory.

I would think the phone was off the hook to avoid his room getting any phone calls, which could wake him up sooner than wanted.

Oh, I didn't know you could do that. Regardless, the phone was probably involved in some way.

Hm, perhaps Entry #12 was important because it showed what the Operator can make one do in the presence of others. Making a connection to Entry #49, perhaps when Alex walked up to the Operator, he underwent extreme sickness and paranoia eventually attacking Brian and/or Sarah.

That definitely would have made the end of that tape important.
