[OT] Flynn Lives Buttons

With a noticeable desire for the FlynnLives.com badges to be made into 1" pins, I started making vector recreations of them so as to solve the pixelation problem. Once these are finished, they will be sent to a company that makes buttons, and then will be available for purchase! We will be doing one massive run of these buttons, so to get on my little list of those interested, you MUST send me a Private Message here on unfiction.com OR send me an email at alecmitchellSPLAThotmail.com

PRICING!
A full set of all the badges will be $12 This will include basic USPS shipping. Send payment to alecmitchellSPLAThotmail.com

I'm in depending on how much.

I think Clone Tommy said $20 a set right? How much are you guys thinking on these.

If they are less than $30 shipped I am down.

I'm looking into pricing on bulk orders, and Timmy and I are talking about how it should work, but yeah, that should be no problem. I shall keep this updated.

ALSO as I remake the badges, I will post them here, and as I do, PLEASE EVERYONE comment on them! If I did something wrong, or something you don't like, TELL ME! I'm going to try as hard as I can to make everyone happy!

"Mini" buttons on CafePress cost $1.49 each, 10 for $7.99, or 100 for $69.99. Not including shipping, mind you.

Not sure where you're getting the $20 a set price...

Actually, the cafepress 100 set buttons are $98 and totally ignoring shipping costs and hidden fees, people with all the buttons would be paying $22. Not ideal.

I totally agree, but that is the correct scaling. They didn't worry too much when they created the badges because they knew they were going to be very small. I don't have that luxury. I plan on working on it, but we'll see.

Maybe I misread but I'm pretty sure purebuttons dot com offers 100 pins for 22 cents each. Let me quadruple check. But I'm willing to get the ball rolling on these. Not as cool as the geometric answers but would look great on a lanyard at a con.

Also, the pixelation, a la 8 bit, I believe is intentional. But on a 1" button I think it will look fine.

Probably a stupid suggestion, buuuut... Have you tried an automatic image enhancement on any of the graphics, just for shiggles? Probably way too pixelated, but may turn up interesting results.
Just wondering!

BTW: When it snows on the grid, do they put chains on the wheels? Flaming Nutter

What, you mean just scaling up the images? Eww, no. Then they just look pixled, feathered, and groos.

I don't know... Some video-game console emulators have graphic engines that enhance the image and while not ideal they can make for a slightly spiffier, less pixelated image.

That they do, but they are just retracing the sprites like i'm doing, only worse.

(new badge by the way, hooray!)

Yowzers! You keep cranking out images like that and I'll gladly put my foot in my mouth! Wink
