Cannot reply in threads?
Suddenly not able to reply in threads.

Recently something has been going on with the forums or its just on my side.

A week or so ago, the site timed out for hours on end, no idea why. Now I can't reply in threads.

I don't know if something like this exists but am I muted because I replied a lot in a Trailhead? Or did I post something that wasn't complying with a forum rule? (I read the rules but sometimes I have a forgetful mind Razz )

I had internet problems lately a lot although I don't think they contribute to the forum problems I had.

If any of my replies were against a rule of the forum, let me know what was wrong, add a link link to the reply and I'll change it immediately!

EDIT: I should add that when I use the "Quote" function on a post, the reply window opens normally.

I do not believe we have a mute function - or if we did, it wouldn't let you start threads either. We don't punish without discussion, so {while I haven't looked at any of your posts} I doubt you are living out any weird consequences of your posts.

I also don't seem to be having any issues...... SO, let's try some trouble shooting!

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

LOL, no but seriously....

Cleared your cache?
What browser are you using?
Tried logging out and back in?

I remember seeing this complaint in the past. I'm not sure it was ever "fixed" because we didn't find a cause.

Is this the behavior you see? You didn't say if you got any messages, just that it didn't work for you.

Most recently reported back in February: Cannot reply in threads? but I don't see any follow-up.

Also discussed back in 2011 (and replied to in 2014) in the ambiguous "Help?" thread.

That was my mistake, I thought that thread had the same issue as this one, and i temp merged them. When I un-merged them upon realizing I goofed, the subject got goofed. Fixed now. That post was about making a new post, and only in the timewasters subforum. Dunno

Catherwood, this is exactly what I see. I click on the "post reply" button, it redirects me to the front page of the forum.

Ahh, I was unsure if I was muted/flagged/etc., I at first thought it was just me and my internet, the reply function works again now though... It did that already a few weeks after I signed up so it's a recurring thing.

Lol Pixiestix, I did turn it "on and off" again for hours! Laughing I rebooted my PC a few times, changed browsers and devices (Desktop PC with a horribly old version of Firefox, my Android phone and my Laptop which I'm writing from now with Chrome)

I cleared my browsing history that day, my download history and even scanned my computer for Malware haha.

I'm using Google Chrome version 57.0.2987.133 on Windows 10 (Laptop), I used Firefox on Windows 7 (Desktop PC, i dont know the Firefox version sorry) and the internet app version 4.0.10-53 on my Samsung with the Android version Lollipop (I cba to update the software to Nougat)

It's okay now but it will happen again at some point though.
