Hate to say it, but Blogger says that that blog doesn't exist and is in fact open for registration.

He's talking about Finn's dog Jake, again from Adventure Time.
This time we have the following comment, allegedly not by the blogger:

These are characters from all of ASCII, but I'm not sure what they encode/how they are encoded. I don't assume the same base64 decoding can somehow extend to base 256?
I think I'll post a reply to the blog post to see if there's any reaction.

...Why does this depress me so much before I've even looked at the page?
Yup, depressing :( And now an Adventure Time ad is playing
Advised him/her to leave them.

Ok, looks like there's been an update or two. There was a code posted in the comments of the latest update. More details in the spoilers:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The code was:
"IICGCCCBSOCFBPMTMLOXIPOTX"
And the following comment reads:
"Transposion is the way"
So I assumed a transposition cipher. More can be read about these here .
After decrypting, we get:
ICCTIICFMPCB.BLOGSPOT.COMXX
I've added dots myself of course. Remove the XX and we have a web address for a Blogger, but it in fact leads nowhere. After a little digging, the creator of the original Blogger's profile displays a second blog by the name of:
ICCTIICFMPCB
but the actual url is missing a letter due to the PMs sloppy typing (which has been a common feature of the comments and posts). So, that being said there's nothing on the new blog as of yet but I assume it will be important later.
I'm going to see what I can get from the new page but aside from that we may have to wait for more info.
(By the way, I'm in)
EDIT: Also, couldn't find any references to a match and pencil in Adventure time and couldn't think of a cartoon with these two characters. I don't watch Adventure Time so if anyone does can they think of an episode with these characters?
The first comment of the new post confused me as well. It reads:
Quote:
WIDJ Finn beaufort
Only thing I could find with that abbreviation was 'Women In Digital Journalism' and I'm not sure that's quite right. Also, I know Finn is a character on the show but I couldn't find reference to his surname being beaufort or another character by that name. I'm stumped.
Hey, m6. You said you received an email to kick this off. Could you post the address you received it from? Might be helpful.

I forgot the address so no. any way about the comment you were confused about,I think the first 4 letters are in beaufort code.

Well I've learned something about a new cipher, how about that?
New information:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
WIDJ with the keyword Finn translates to Jake . Not sure why that little message is left but it's not from Jake himself. Here's how I know.
Update on the new blog leaves another transposition. This translates to:
Find the ring I will give your dog back
Sorry I didn't explain it all but it's a simple transposition, same as the first. I guess we have to find out what ring is being talked about and who this is. But whoever it is they have Jake.
Also, got a reply from my comment on the latest post on the original blog. I was told the Match and Pencil are from 'Battle for Dream Island'. It's a youtube, flash based cartoon about anthropomorphic objects battling to control an island with an awesome hotel and robot servants. Not sure of the relevance other than it's a cartoon.
