lol You're right, it reminds me of this like 20min Chevy Malibu tape my parents got from a car dealer, or the Banjo Kazooie preview tape I ordered from Nintendo when I was 11.

Also my parents had dozens upon dozens of tapes from various brands and all of them had a sticker between the reels. Unless his dad just put some other tape in a Maxell box.

I'm guessing that the blue vs pink ink would denote male vs female victims. Maybe we could cross-reference that against the zodiac killings and see if they match up. Would be especially chilling if it was in the same order...

Hi all, I've been lurking on this one, and just thought I'd input a little (didn't see it posted already):

The Zodiac Killer claimed to have taken 37 lives, but he was only conclusively linked to 7 attacks. Two of these people survived.

Police suspected him to be responsible for 5 other attacks, but could never link anything conclusively. One of the people in this group survived.

So we have his "admitted" 37 kills.
His proven 7 attacks, but 5 kills.
And if you want to count the suspected ones, 12 attacks, 9 kills.
Six victims were male, seven were female (the colored ink theory).

Unfortunately none of these numbers match the 24 strikes in California.

The different inks could be attributed to attacks vs. kills, but that doesn't seem to add up since I think the Zodiac intended to kill all of his victims. Perhaps I was wrong on the whole different colors different meanings theory.

Another thing, the author of the book is Ann Faraday, and David Faraday was one of the first of Zodiac's victims, but there is no relation and it may just be a coincidence.

Edit: Looking through the tapes again, the sign is actually for Murphy's Country Pub - Killarney. There is no such place that I can find. The piece is sold here, however.
