Another joiner for this I also sent a link to opening that box without a key. Ive tried a lot of things on that code varying from simple to complex and I really dont think its as complicated as were making it out to be... Sometimes the simplest solution is the hardest to see...

Finished watching all the videos, reading the twitter, etc...no insights yet, but you've got another brain on hand for this one.

Edit: Tried converting each character into hexadecimal and adding each set of two. The resulting number was matched to the list of trivia places on the side. Then we used the first letter of each location name. Upper and lower cases depending on the arrow. BUT! This also did not work. So nobody waste your time.

I really like the idea of using the trivia answers as part of the cipher, and I think it's something we should look into.

Anyone else find it strange that he always cuts out the parts where he, himself, is talking? he did it with his mother and his sister, and he did it during this one too. He either cuts out the whole part or he just removes his voice. It's strange to me.

I can sort of understand, some people aren't comfortable being recorded like that... and if you're posting this sort of footage you don't really want it to be identifiable to you or your voice...

Maybe we are supposed to research how the zodiac killer encrypted his messages?

Some speculation that has gotten me no where:

I found a numerology table that could work if the rows represent the letter and the columns represent the number. Since our code has only B,C,D, that makes sense with this table assuming our code only has letters and the final 0. I tried matching up the table with our code (OScVlmdlfX0) but got nothing.

Also a weird coincidence, I was searching google images for these numerology tables and I found a picture of the Zodiac killer . The page looks like some crazy ramblings though.

The lock box will break open if you throw in on the ground... The back hinge is really weak on those.. I worked for a place that sold those. I had to destroy alot of the defective ones. It doesn't take much to open them.

One thing it looks like you guys are forgetting is that youtube video id's can contain "-" and "_" and possibly other characters that I have never taken the time to notice.

I also checked out the cipher texts related to the zodiac killer and unless, I'm too tired to line letters up, these provided nothing.

Then I wrote a script to print grids in a 6 column format using the following numbers, letters and symbols (in order), then grab the characters at the correct locations and adjust their case accordingly. Then the script would shift all the values by 1 and start over. This process was then to repeat 37 times for each of the lines in the code block below. Then after purging the duplicates it output to me 433 proper links. None of which were successful. Not only did they not produce the video, but none of the 433 links I manually clicked actually contained a video on youtube.

Going off the assumed clue that the arrows mean lowercase letters, I had the script automatically set the uppercase and lowercase according to that. That may be a wrong assumption but that's why I only used lowercase to feed the script. I also re-ran the script without the number 0 since we also guessed that the 0 was given to us (so maybe it was left out of the cipher key.) This gave 236 results, about 10% were duplicates from the list produced when the 0 was included. Still no videos. I ran a script with only 5 columns, 394 links, and again no videos.

I just found out about this yesterday. Like others I've been banging my head against the wall to try to figure out this youtube video id but I've had no luck so far.

Question: has anyone contacted that gmail address the image was sent from? Might be worth a shot. If nobody has I will.
