I thought of this earlier that if the keyboard was the solution it might be a pattern. When that was posted I thought f*** what if it was a grid on the keyboard...

HZeVdfrdyN0

Doesn't work though...

I think we are over complicating things.

Other way also doesnt work

HQcRdfvdnY0

EDIT: Also if this is how hard the first puzzle is were all doomed on the second...

I was thinking that maybe cracking it has something to do with the words on the paper (14. The North Sea, 15. Two etc.).

The new note makes me think that even more since the new note is written on blank paper.

Why wasn't the code written on blank paper? Maybe is was intentional?

I don't know how Sad I wasn't able to figure out a link so I had given up on the idea until the new note made me think of it again.

Me too, I tried to search for the first "C", then 6 letters after, then the "D" which follows first in the list and 1 letter after and so on..

I got: IEiRuovuaR0 Arrow nothing!

There is just one thing we didn't see HRMPF! Smile

I also think it's a hint to look at the trivia answers on the paper. I can't figure out any way to link the code to the answers though. The thing that makes the most sense is if each letter represents an answer, and then the number is how many letters to count. But for example B6 would refer to the 6th letter in "two" so it doesn't work out.

Here are all the answers from the paper (not sure if this has already been posted):

Quote:

14. The North Sea
15. Two
16. Paris
17. Wellington, New Zealand
18. Wisconsin
19. Sweden
20. Italy
21. Maine
22. The Columbia
23. Lebanon
24. The Persian Gulf
25. Cairo
26. Delaware
27. Vermont
28. Los Angeles
29. Bolivia and Paraguay
30. Alberta
31. Bangladesh
32. Hudson Bay

Just to keep everyone on the same page, I tried, Binary Coded Dedimal but it doesn't translate to anything resembling a video id. More info here if you don't know what it is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EBCDIC

Like I said a couple pages back, it a link to me. If you take the h from the hudson at the bottom and attach it to the first of the others you get httpww(s)w. it just seems strange to me.

For the sake of it I'll give a list of the video ids I've tried:

eNaLrleRww0 Arrow Video not avalible

eNaLrleRwd0 Arrow Same

PWolriTron0 Arrow nothing

PWoLritroN0 Arrow nothing

Is there a chance this could be some form of grid refrence linked to the places that appear on the paper?

How do you got to those "links"? Smile

Been following this along... I'm ass at cracking codes, and I haven't had any luck with this one so far, but something is bothering me... the paper the code is written on... the typed list on it, something's not right about it.

What is that list meant to be, exactly? at first glance, it looks like a legend from a map or an atlas, or something, but if you consider it more closely, that's clearly not it. There are some entries there that are definitely not places, geographical or otherwise ('Two' and 'The Columbia' for example-- the country is spelled Colombia...), what's more, there's a pretty broad range of locations and place types on there (cities, states, countries, and bodies of water all listed together), and they don't follow the same formatting (Wellington is listed with its country, but none of the other cities are).

It's just a little too random for me. I think there's something we're missing about that list... but it's early and I have no idea what that could be. Maybe someone with a better brain for this stuff will be able to figure it out; I just thought I'd point that out...

Mostly by presuming that first part of each pair is the answer from the list and the second part is the letter (looping back round if the number is higher than the number of letters in the word), its silly I know, I just decided to try the most obvious and easy thing that came to mind.

This is what I am thinking, I tried to map the places but they lead nowhere, you can't really try and find the questions as some of the answers could come from anything, google turns up nothing for the list either

Edit: Okay, looking for any link between the answers all I can find that seems interesting:

14. The North Sea- Oil spill, some disputes over fishing areas
15. Two
16. Paris
17. Wellington, New Zealand
18. Wisconsin – Debates over the slave trade
19. Sweden
20. Italy
21. Maine
22. The Columbia- Space Shuttle that got destroyed on re-entry or a hotel in London
23. Lebanon
24. The Persian Gulf
25. Cairo
26. Delaware
27. Vermont
28. Los Angeles
29. Bolivia and Paraguay- Many years of border disputes
30. Alberta
31. Bangladesh
32. Hudson Bay

Hi everyone. Joined here so I can make a guess to this list. It looks to me like it's a list of crossword answers. And for some reason the strange note may correspond to this. This would seem to make sense of the down arrow indicating it's the down word of a crossword puzzle and the number of letters.

Since they're all geographical (except 15. Two), the Columbia probably refers to the river.
