Just a reminder to the ones without an FB account or not wanting to Like 5 Gum's page: the voting and countdown can be seen on http://www.survivalcode.com/events/voting .

GO TAMPA!
Except my brother is home visiting, and I doubt I can get a ride to Tampa on Tuesday (oh yes, I will ditch him for an Icefly)... but I guess Floridians will be well-represented anyway. Suppose KK and Punxtr would rather not have me in their marathon sprint

Well, I can't make the Philly that day. Whoops.

Looks like I will be going to New Orleans that day! Where will the directions and coordinates be released?

Last time the Countdown page updated (most people had to hit refresh) with links to PDFs. Coordinates are in there.
It's a *very* good idea to have someone on net support who can reach your mobile; then they (or we, in chat) can give you an actual location instead of just GPS, and help you en route. Plus it keeps those watching online updated

If anyone wants to oracle for me, that would be great, just pm me and let me know, someone who knows New Orleans fairly well would be ideal, but i'll take anyone.

I will do my best to provide web support. Hopefully my plane adventures will have ended by the afternoon.
If I'm able, I will be tweeting coordinates as they're posted. You can follow me @Ogawa47. Happy hunting!

So Philly falls again. If they retain cities that don't get voted for, hopefully (for me) it will get its time to shine soon. I could likely make the Philly trip.

Is the countdown for when voting ends, or is that the actual date/time the drop will happen and the coordinates will become available? Trying to think of ANY way I could make the trip from Jackson, MS but New Orleans will be just out of reach this time tomorrow.

The drop will occur exactly at countdown end. I learned this lesson hard for the Miami drop.

I'll be trying for the Anaheim drop. Hopefully I'll have much better luck than I did during the L.A. one.
I missed the last drop completely, so could someone tell me how the locations were given out, please?

The first big drop had individual pages for each city with PDFs that had a picture of the location and latitude/longitude coordinates.

I was here for the first drop; I tried for the L.A. fly but I was almost on the other side of the city from where the envelope was. I just needed to know how the coordinates are being posted now that it's happening through the facebook page.

I'm the one who sent an email to hpp asking for a drop in Anaheim. I for one actually live in the city that the drop is going to be done at. So well... I know the city like the back of my hand.
You're welcome to join us, but I'd love to see the icefly in the hands of a native. I mean everyone in the picture on their flickr is awesome ya know.
Not like the last drop in which... San Diego natives didn't get a chance to say the least.
Anyone who is going to Anaheim tomorrow hit me up in the Irc. I've got a few buddies meeting at starbucks. We want to meet all the hpp players =)
