[OT] "Geometric Answers" ORGASMIC PICTURES!!!!
Sold Out, need rest of the deposits, and beginning interest of 2nd Run.

For about a year the 42E Zero Hour bits have eluded everyone. So far almost every member on this forum has inquired about them in the Swag Shop and since there are only about 20 or so in existence we decided to make them a little more common for those who are fanatical about this movie.

These "Geometric Answers" are 5" squared which puts them at the size of a softball where as the Zero Hour Bits are about 2" which puts them at the size of a golf ball.

These "Geometric Answers" were modeled in 3d and lasered out by a Zcorp machine making them highly accurate and very high in quality.

From there a highly reputable toy company has made molds so that we can have a very limited number of them shot out in plastic. Each one in its respective color and these are gorgeous.

Each set will cost $100 and once they are finished you must pay for shipping.

Here are the pictures, I wish Steve and I had smaller hands so that people could understand how large these actually are, but if I had to explain it I would say that these are actually to scale from the movie.

Each set will come with a COA, Steve and I are by no means "Authorities" from the people who released the movie, but it's for fun and authenticates which number you get from the limited number produced.

There are only a few sets left and as to whether we will ever get around to doing another set is under review right now.

So get them while they are hot because these will not last much longer considering only 6 of the 42 sets are left.

I realized most of you guys haven't gotten an fair understanding of how big these are. So here is Steve's girlfriend holding the bits in her hands so you guys and gals know how big they are. Steve and I have gorilla hands and it sort of leaves them understated.

So here you go.

wouldn't a larger run bring the cost down since you can spread the mold cost across more sets? I would think you could probably sell 50 sets. if the price is reasonable for good size I would be interested. $150 is too high for my taste.

thanks for looking into doing this.

I'd be interested, but it's too rich for my blood, I'm afraid.

price.
?

They may not be $150 for the set. But considering that that means each one would only be $50 for each one being bigger is still better than $500 for the set or god knows how much for each one on ebay.

We are checking into options, for all I know they could end up being $75 for a set of three that are bigger or $100, we are trying to make it so that they are affordable for the common Tron fan.

I just need to see what people would be willing to pay so that it is worth it to us to do this.

I know for a fact that the "yes" bit is 3 inches tall. The ones I am talking about would be about 4-6 inches tall depending on what we do.

And they would be made of durable and solid plastic. So it's only in my opinion that somewhere between $75-$150 is still reasonable for that.

Basically take (two) one dollar bills and criss cross them and that is the potential size.

If we got these to be that much, please just say "maybe" or "yes" or "not at all" and YES if there are more than 20 people interested, the more there would be made and the price would go down.

So just consider it and help out because I am by no means rich but I would fork out $150 MAXIMUM for a full set of LARGER "geometric answers".

Rather than a molded process, have you considered shapeways? It's probably good for smaller items and low number of runs, or perhaps prototyping. I've only seen samples pictured in this other forum

I think using Shapeways would be a good solution. I have friends who use the site and it works out really well for them. The final product looks good, and it might be more convenient since you can just upload and share the models on there. People can just order whenever and also choose what bits they want, whether it's just one bit or all of them.

good website...but.

We are trying to have it printed so that we can make a mold, the cheapest and best candidate for material said it is not ideal as a mold making material.

Plus it is still expensive.

I am researching many options and as these are not my designs, they are my models and I don't feel comfortable just uploading them so people can do whatever with them.

HOWEVER!!! I will upload them to this site for keychain size and maybe necklaces. I would like to have a necklace of the no "geometric answer" so I will upload them for those purposes.

I want these replicas to be fairly large, anywhere from 4-6 inches because for the hype these things have created i feel 3 inches and smaller were a total bust for the money these could go for on ebay.

5x5x5 on this website alone is $190 and I can't even make a mold of it so I will try my hardest to make this a fun venture for all.

I'd be in but I'd be iffy at the $150 price point but $100 or so that would be great.

I'm down for this. I'll have plenty of money to burn on swag in October.

 Possible price and official size.
who is in?

So we found a person that may be able to help us make these cheaper, this is by no means official, but an official update.

We are going to make one, the "no" "geometric answer" since it is the hardest and we will post pictures when it is done.

These will be 5 inches x 5 inches x 5 inches and we are going to make them $100 a set plus shipping. I think that is a more than fair price considering that these will be bigger and (hopefully) just as accurate.

So hopefully we will have pictures up sooner than later of the no "geometric answer" .

Now that we are going to try to make them $100 a set + shipping (which shouldn't be bad at all) please post if you would be interested.

Just say yes, no, or maybe.

We are thinking of starting off with 30 sets that way if they do well we will have the molds and can make more, we don't plan on leaving any of you out.

But I already know that myself, the other member on this board helping will want a set so that is two out of the way.

So let us know who else would be interested. At 5" square, and considering that each will be $33.33 each $100 is a great deal and I am excited knowing that I don't have to wait for someone to sell theirs on ebay for a ridiculous price.

I know the other ones are still valuable since the actual "Flynn Lives" campaign sent them out. But for the rest of us chomping at the bit (pun intended) to get a full set of "geometric answers", I wanted it to be worth the wait and these will be much bigger for display.

So post away on your opinions or concerns and hopefully soon we will know what is up.

I have had a few emails asking why I don't make these the exact same size, the main reason is I don't want people selling them on ebay as the original zero hour "geometric answers". Some people that want them also don't belong to the forum so I don't want them to pay out the wazoo for something that is not the original.

These are for us an all other tron fans who were not able to get the originals. So the added bonus for our patience is that you get more bang for your buck.

I don't want a list of problems with people trying to sue other people for a fraudulent transaction on ebay and the entire mess it could cause.

But let's see how these turn out first.

List of people interested.
I am just doing this for my own sake.

If this list goes over 30 than we will go ahead and just to a larger run than 30.

I will basically call this the "Reserve" list where we will personally hold this number once they are produced.

That way once they are made we don't just sell them randomly and since you guys are the first to say something and support us we will make these happen as best we can just for you guys.
