[General] Compiled a list of questions we have for the PM's

I compiled a list of all questions asked in the End Game / PM Meet & Greet thread, which hopefully makes chatting a bit easier.

I've categorised all questions in a few groups, making it easier (I think?) to discuss certain subjects groupwise.

I did not leave out any questions, I don't think I am the one to judge if a question is "right" or not, so I copied every one of them out of the thread into the list, except for doubles. Also, I tried not to change the questions textually, but sometimes I had to, to place them into context a bit.

Please comment on this, let me know if I misplaced questions, misinterpreted them, missed any, or made other mistakes. I will continue to add questions from the End Game thread until monday-evening, so please keep posting them in that thread.

Version history (so you can check if you have the most recent):
V1.01 - Added color and some other stuff to increase readability
V1.02 - All of Catherwood's unanswered and semi-unanswered questions from the IRC transcript added
V1.03 - Yeahyeah's questions added and also Omnie's question about Stone Jeffreys
V1.04 - Added Sh1ft's question
V1.05 - Added Omnie's extended list of questions Wink
V1.06 - Added and corrected ChainedLightning's remarks and added numbering (not sure if that is a good idea, I'm getting dizzy seeing 170 at the bottom! Smile )
V1.07 - Added questions by Worker, Fubarz, FlanInTheFace and myself
V1.08 - Added questions by Wix, Bagsbee, Worker, Anthrax101, Joebrent, Burnin, BriEnigma, Omnie, Trip and ChainedLightning. There were a lot of doubles in these btw, which I didn't copy into the FAQ.
V1.09 - Added a question by Wix

You have me as saying "Can I get my own Metadex? Please...?!", but that quote should go to Karl H

Also, one of my questions didn't seem to make it: "Where can we get a hi-res copy of the last .bh picture without the writing on it "

That's a great list of questions though - I can't wait for the answers.

Sorry about that, it has now been corrected. And yes, I too am very curious for the answers... although the chat will be at 4:00 AM in my timezone, I'll probably take a day off work tuesday so I can attend Smile

Another Q or two...

First of all, thank you for taking the time and effort to put this all together.

Question: What was the motivation behind this project? Was it backed by any financial organization, or just a hobby?

Question: What was the target audience of this ARG? What was the knowledge background targeted? It appears that your puzzles were rather shallow, when they certainly could have been more complex. Kudos to the tapestry maker, though.

Question: Why the brevity of the storyline? The plot seemed a good base, seemingly with a bunch of possible offshoots. Why not take it further/deeper?

Personally, I was hoping this was attached to the Matrix Online, and we'd all get to be real beta testers for the game Smile

If it was a hobby project, thank you! It was well put together, as short as it was.

If it was a commercial project somehow, then it was probably too shallow and short. There is so much more that could've been done.

Last Question: Did you ever think of deeper puzzles? Did you contemplate taking pieces of one solved puzzle and another "unrelated" puzzle, and combining them for yet another clue?

Thank you all for your effort. This was my first ARG, and a good one to be introduced to!

-Wix

[EDIT: P.S. I will not be available for the online PM chat. If any of these questions were to be addressed, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, if any of the PM's would like to answer these Q's here, I'd be just as thrilled Wink]

V1.08 just uploaded, and I kinda think that this will be the final version before the chat tonight...

It's up to (I'm almost embarassed to say) 210 questions now Embarassed , which is probably way more than can ever be coped with shortly, so no idea what will happen with the list, we'll see Smile

The recent discovery of the ROMAN files led to a new question by Wix, which I have added to the list. Imbri offered to cross the list with the already answered questions in the FAQ somewhere around friday, so until then, I can still add questions Twisted Evil
