Two Words:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
KILL WHITEY

This is the best moment since:

ALEX: YOU BROUGHT YOUR DOG?!

Also, did ANYONE catch what the hell Alex was saying at 1:10 to 1:28? I swear the last (i.e. third) phrase was said by someone else.

A bit odd we lost all the footage where we'd see Alex "disappear" from Jay's view.

Finally, yeah, good, tasteful cut near the end there.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I wonder if the TJ&Amy dog debacle had any influence on whether they showed the scene.

Did anyone catch any hidden frames or something in all that video distortion that was happening in the fight scene?

Yes! ^_^ Totheark-puns are really stale.

I think that Jay meeting up with Alex at Rosswood park (in presumably the next entry) would be the same day as #38. As seen in that video, Alex is acting very spooky, and that 'scene' ends with Alex walking towards Jay. I believe we are going to see what happens after that, and that will lead to Jay running away from Alex and finding the tunnel, and seeing what we see in #29.

That's my theory, at least.

In terms of timeline, what seems most plausible is that Jay has been watching this the whole time, waits for Alex to leave, then enters the tunnel himself. At that point the events in the tunnel that were on Jay's camera, with the bloody rock, occur. The next day is entry 38.

I think we have to assume that part of Jay's memory was erased when he encountered the Operator--why else would he agree to meet Alex after having witnessed these events?
We pretty much see Jay get in his car and GTFO at the end of 48.

Yeah, he didn't know what Alex did after Alex saw him and Jay ran.

Ah true, my mistake. That being said, we can at least be sure that entry 29 occurs later in the same day, and not the next one, as the blood on the rock is still wet--some of it gets on Jay's fingers in 29.
Oh! That's interesting! Also, it indisputably confirms that the Operator teleports. There were no bloody drag marks on the body, or blood splatters out of the tunnel. The guy just vanished.

Thought this as well. Or maybe he thought it was a Masky.

Either way, things do no look good for Jay in the next entry...

This, all of this, 100%. What I thought about was, if Alex is bringing TO offerings (Perhaps Amy, bearded dude, assuming an attempt on Jay based off of Entry 38, etc), how does the story Alex was telling Jay ion 38 correlate with what we just saw? I have a few speculations swirling around in my head, but I don't know how intelligent they sound.

In regards to the quality of the video itself, I cringed and got a pit in the bottom of my stomach. I predicted something like this happening, and I still dreaded seeing it.[/spoiler]

My main thought when he was killing that guy was, why didn't he kill J when he saw that J followed him to the tunnel? It'll be really silly if Alex is just super unathletic and can't catch the least coordinated person alive (if J's sneaking skills and ability to escape Rosswood in #42 is any indication). Alex must either genuinely like J or J must tie into a later plot point somehow.

I wonder if perhaps Alex knew J was following him and thought that he was also (whether intentionally or not) leading a Masky there? Would explain the "don't follow me" at a time when we know J was actually following him and whiteshirt couldn't have been. Also would explain why Alex would try to kill the person who approached him after J gtfo.

It's also possible that Alex has so completely lost his mind that he legitimately thought beardy was Jay.

A real fight can look like just about anything. The guy wasn't expecting Alex to attack him, Alex caught him off guard, and choked him. Your description of the footage is also inaccurate.

but the utter lack of fight choreography or physical effects is, as usual, a severe disappointment.

They're not martial artists. One's a hapless passerby and the other is a tunnel-dwelling, paranoid, (and apparently batcrap crazy) filmaker. Like most every other action in the show, the fight between them looked like how a real fight like that would go.

It wasn't much of a fight. It was Alex bum rushing him, attempting to strangle him, and doing so. Given that our view is from Alex's shirt, Bruce's chest is about all we -should- see. You haven't a leg to stand on.

As an aside, it's worth nothing that Alex caused audio static when he walked by his camera.

It came up in the Entry #48 thread. When Jay goes to get in his car and gtfo, there's a guy in a white shirt leaning against a car, possibly smoking. Someone (sorry I'm not sure who) decided that instead of another ToTheArk pun, he would be dubbed "Bruce."

Want even more proof? Take another look at #29. The dude's shirt is still there. Spooky.

what he said!

In the Entry 48 thread he was dubbed Bruce so that he wouldn't be named after a riff on totheark.

Edit: Ninja'd!

The tape that Jay tried to steal from Alex directly follows Entry #38. It holds the answers.

The Operator's silhouette is visible in the video distortion around 2:35 when Alex loses the chestcam. Anyone care to screen-grab it?

Since he says to Bruce "I told you not to follow me" i think its clear that he was talking to a human and not to the Operator. It is proboblyt not directed at jay either since he sees J and does nothing to stop him.
